COMPLETELY DISGUSTING PLEASE READ: I brought my 11 month old puppy in due to projectile vomiting and consistent diarrhea. I was referred here by seven oaks animal hospital, upon my arrival I sat waiting for about two hours with a friend of mine when my dog had fallen asleep between the two of us from the exhaustion. The vet finally came in and my puppy sat up and started barking as his tale was wagging, the vet by the name of Dr. Jones screamed at the top of his lungs “SHUT UP” to my pet. My friend and I looked at each other confused.. we were trying to figure out if he was joking and just trying to prove himself as the alpha. He hadn’t said anything else but shut up.. My dog continued barking and he said “oh that is so annoying” he then walks over to my animal and says “I’m not scared of you”. My dog had backed up into the wall and was barking. My friend and I were still in complete awe as to what just happened. He then proceeded to tell me that he isn’t going to have any dog charge at him in his office when my dog did NO such thing. I then stormed out telling him I hope he doesn’t treat all of his animals that way and I went to the front desk to ask for higher authorities contact info. I then ran into a woman who claimed to be the “manager” I explained the situation and she said she would talk to him and she treated me as if I was an inconvenience to her. I stood there completely shocked, she then asked what do you want me to do? Her and I went back and forth and I was asked to leave and to never come back. I am absolutely disgusted with the way my animal was treated by this veterinarian. Treat me badly if you’d like but when I bring my sick pet to an emergency care office. My dog should be TAKEN CARE OF. Also, during the midst of all of this there was a young lady two rooms down who heard the vet scream “SHUT UP” at my animal, she came out of the room and asked if it was the vet who had screamed at him and I told her yes. She grabbed her pet and left. Completely disgusting and I will NEVER refer anyone here. Go to blue pearl, they actually care about the animals that come there as a vet should.

Three weeks ago we found a newborn kitten abandoned in some bushes and weren’t quite sure how to raise him. Jon Patch suggested taking him to see Dr. Katy Meyer at Tampa Bay Veterinary Emergency and I am so happy we did. All the girls there are so knowledgeable, so sweet, and so helpful, especially Lani! They genuinely care about animals, unlike other vets I’ve been to. Thanks to them our baby is flourishing!

A few days ago I took my daschsund dog to the veterinary clinic of my community for its dose of vaccines, among them the one of rabies. After a few hours I noticed that she began to scratch her nose and run around the house. When I lifted her up and looked at her, she was very swollen and practically had her face disfigured. I fell into panic because I am a person with emotional problems and she is my daily support. I left hurriedly to Tampa and they welcomed us here and treated us very well. They quickly injected it and began to improve its appearance. It was an allergic reaction to the rabies vaccine. Victoria received an excellent treatment and thanks to God it is already good. Thank you girls and continue doing that magnificent job. 🤗🐕💖

This review is not based on the veterinary care, but solely on the two women at the front desk (one with short dark hair and glasses, one with red hair). This is the most unprofessional, rude, and careless desk staff I have ever met. The two vet techs I interacted with were both very sweet and helpful, and I would like to thank them for that. I take care of sick people for a living, and I would NEVER treat a patient or family member like your front desk ladies treated me. If you do not have a passion for helping animals or are not willing to treat them like family, do not work at a vet's office. I would never trust my pets under the care of this facility, as the front desk staff proved they have zero interest in helping animals.

If you have an emergency with your pet, this is the best place to go. All the vets and staff are full of empathy in hopes that they can help you and your pet through a very emotional time in your life. Sometimes the decisions are hard to make but with compassion they will help you. We never want our pets to suffer. Go to Bearss and Florida Av. Behind Bank of America.
