Story

The Tattered Cover Book Store is a locally-owned, indie bookstore with three expansive locations & four smaller satellite stores in the greater metro-Denver area. Established as a small storefront in 1971, it now has locations on Colfax Avenue, across from East High School; in Historic LoDo (lower downtown), at the corner of Wynkoop & 16th Street; and at the Aspen Grove Shopping Center. There are also small Tattered Cover bookstores for commuters in Denver Union Station, and on each concourse at Denver International Airport.

Really liked it. Great atmosphere especially if you want to get things done. Only thing is drinks aren't worth the price. They are not the best and tend to be a little bit pricey but customer service was good. If you could improve the quality of the drinks and food items I would definitely give it 5 stars. Will definitely go there again to get my school work done.

I love this charming bookstore. It is a Denver tradition. Very knowledgeable and kind staff willing to assist you. If they don't have what you are looking for...they are happy to order it for you in a few days time. Their children's book department is wonderful. I use the East Colfax location mostly because I live near there. The downtown location is nice also!

I can't get enough of tgis place! My husband and I end up here on a lot of date nights. The atmosphere is perfect and the selection is impressive. Also, the staff has always been friendly and seems happy to be there and to help you.

Very friendly staff and a huge selection of books to choose from. I love the quirky cafe and the events Tattered Cover puts on. It was wonderful meeting a favorite author there last year! Exactly what a bookstore should be.

I love the whole experience of going to Tattered Cover.  You will find what you are looking for and more.   The people there are very knowledgeable and kind too.
