I've always taken my car here for oil changes and tire work for the past 3 yrs and have always had really good experiences here along with it being really convenient to my place. When my car had a major problem,  my first instinct was to take it here and now I really know why. Had my car towed in, came in and was greeted by Chris. He already knew seeing my car up on a flat bed this was not looking good. Extremely lucky for me I had purchased the 60 month/50k extended warranty when I purchased the car and immediately brought the paper work back to him. Chris explained everything to me, the process, what could and couldn't happen and the time frame. I greatly appreciated laying out all the possible scenarios for me and finding out what was wrong within a few days, communicating with me and going well above and beyond. He really took the reins on this and within about 2 weeks(from drop off, waiting for the part, dealing with the extended warranty then pick up) I had my car back up and running. everything was covered and only paid my deductible! I picked my car up on July 21st and at this point now, my car is running superb! Thanks you Chris and also Chris who was the lead tech working on my car and everyone else there at the shop who helped! I couldn't be more pleased and impressed with my experience here. Thanks again Chris and to everyone at Ted Wiens!!

We have used the Ted Wiens North Decatur location for more than a dozen years for all our auto maintenance needs, and we keep our vehicles for a LONG time, so we need somebody we can count on!  Just yesterday they fixed my 15-year-old Caravan, replaced the alternator and fixed some electrical issues, and for a very reasonable cost - in fact, significantly less than the estimate!  Yesterday I interacted with Chris for the first time, after not having been in for service in over a year, and he was terrific.  Really personable, knowledgeable, explains everything, makes recommendations for future maintenance work, and tells you honestly how urgent it may be.  We trust these guys, and would definitely recommend them for auto service.

i called for a salvage safety inspection the girl with blue hair gave me a quote for $25 and scheduled an appointment the next day they charged me $57. so i said ok i was already there.  
with all the little details not related to the inspection i was initially there for come up to $3900 dollars for repair a 11 year old truck 
just for the brake service they wanted $1500.  
they lied and fail the brake lights saying that i need 3
i know mechanic from my own experience they are ripping off people with no knowledge about cars
