Many things went wrong. Asked for a quiet table. Was sat next to the bar with music blaring although the place was empty at 7 on a Saturday night. Drinks arrived and my margarita was too tart to drink. Instead of taking it back for the bartender to remix, I was offered packets of sweetener. I sent it back. Waitress talked so fast, I needed to ask her to repeat everything she said. Appetizers were good. Huge selection of tequilas but waitress wasn't at all knowledgeable about the drinks and didn't offer to find anyone who was, even when asked to do so. When our food arrived, two of the six orders were wrong and had to be sent back. The place was empty at 9. Our waitress obviously wanted us to leave since she repeatedly checked on whether we had paid the bill, even though we were still eating dessert. Food was ok, service was attentive but just plain wrong. I will not go back.

I left with wet pants. The waiter handed me a mixed drink and the bottom of the glass just fell out and the entire drink spilled all over myself and my dress shoes. It was no ones fault but my issue is with the way the situation was handled. They had me pick up the glass which was in shards to start. Then upon the conclusion of the meal they hand me the full bill minus two drinks. A manager never came to speak to me instead I had to seek one out and ask to have my meal taken off the bill. The situation was handled very unprofessionally and on top of it I had to ask for the manager. The waiter was very nice but it was upper management that truly failed here.

The salsas are made completely in house and beat anything else I've ever had, even in the Southwest. Portions are generous and the price is right. Blackened fish tacos are outstanding. Served with smoky black beans and other sensational flavors. Plantain empanadas are a meal in themselves. They claim to have a scratch kitchen and it certainly tastes it.

Starters were a mountain of Calamari soaked in sticky BBQ sauce. Not bad, just huge amounts. The nibblely bits came out a few minutes after the starters, and the mains arrived before we were even 1/2 way though the starters. We actually had to tell the guy that we were not ready for them, despite the fact that all the plates would not fit on the table! Mains were OK. Nice, but nothing to write home about. Again, lashings of sticky BBQ sauce. Chalk it down to a learning experience. If you're looking for the "I wash myself with a rag on a stick" eating experience, this place would fit the bill.
