     Temple Or Olam is a fully egalitarian, Renewal affiliated Synagogue, located less than 5 miles from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. (We share space with the Piedmont Unitarian Universalist Church.) Services are led by Rabbi Dr. Barbara Thiede, and attended by a warm, loving, and diverse congregation. We love to have fun, meaningful services, usually followed by a little nosh! Whether we are listening to one of the Rabbi's great stories, dancing with the Torah, or putting on our tallitot outside on the patio, we strive to "infuse our spiritual and ethical practice with depth and meaning." 
     I love my Temple, my congregation, and my Rabbi. I can't think of a better place to spend Shabbat, holidays and other amazing events we have throughout the year. (In case you were wondering, come as you are! When trying new congregations, you never know what to expect. Whether you are in a 3 piece suit, or shorts and flip flops, there is a place for everyone!) 
     If you are a college student looking for services close to campus, new to the area, looking for a change of pace, or just something new, Temple Or Olam is the place for you. See you all there!
