I've driven past this restaurant every day since it opened nearly 3 years ago and never tried it until today. My mistake. The food and the service were incredible. Fabulous salsa & margaritas! Easily the best Mexican food in the upstate. Try the Burrito Acapulco. It's a nice sized burrito stuffed with a variety of seafood and topped with a delicious creamy chipotle sauce and served with rice and grilled asparagus.

I hate to write this review because I would love to promote local businesses... and I had given them several tries... but here’s the problem..,
Their food is fairly good, above average perhaps but nothing spectacular... but good. I like the people.. they seem friendly and eager... 
... but when we’ve eaten there the food had come hot and cold... the waiter or waitress has been either excellent or just terrible ... (over perfumed was the last situation...) 
However, the last straw was the recent change in procedure of billing... they now automatically put the tip (15%) into your bill no matter what. You don’t have a choice! And then they put the line to ask fo additional tip when the 15% is already added. If you’re not careful you wouldn’t notice. BAD business practice. 

I won’t go again. There are other places that are equal in taste, but not sneaky. You’ve lost a customer... such a pity.

My family and I just came back from eating and having drinks at Tequilana tonight. We were having a great time until my brother chipped his tooth eating their brisket enchiladas or whatever that was. We told them that his tooth was chipped, we had the piece that harmed his tooth and showed the lady. She went to the owner and they said because he ate the whole meal that they can't take it off the ticket but that they would give him a free dessert. 😠 Really?! So he has to go to the dentist and fix his chipped tooth (which actually seems like it is more cracked then chipped) that could cost a few hundred but you want to give him a free dessert that cost about $7! Nope because of that I will not be attending this place ever again! The waitress was great but the owner's decision was poor customer service and because of that I don't recommend this place to anyone.

I had the tamales with smoked brisket meat and they were delicious. But, at $15 for two tamales, beans and rice, it's a bit on the higher side of cost. I guess I'll go back someday but it won't be often at that price for lunch! They have no lunch menu so the price for dinner and lunch is the same.

Tequilana is delicious. I had the cheese quesadilla and the cheese to tortilla ratio was perfect. The homemade sauce is a nice, peppery heat. We all loved our dishes. Don't hesitate to go to this little gem. Bonus: All day Friday is Happy Hour for Bud Light.
