Ok so yes there was a wait outside after arriving at 7:35am, but was otherwise uneventful. I experience no bad customer service. In fact, Patricia assisted me and she was AWESOME!! She had a great attitude and personality. So don’t let all of the negative reviews keep you away.

If you are in the "Limited Term/ Modified" line you are guaranteed to have terrible service. I looked around and all the other lines seem to be moving perfectly fine but my line was not. They literally had one clerk attending my line; In comparison, they had about three or four attending the other lines. I was standing behind three people and it literally took more than an hour to be attended. I really felt like a second class citizen .

My son has been up to this place three times. Each time being told something else. He was told that he had to have a lease, birth certificate, ss card and a bill in his name. He had all of that . He was turned around because he was listed as a occupant on the lease. That is fine. He come back today 4/13/2018 and was met with such hostility by the officer and the lady who checks your items. She told him I had to be there to sign his affidavit. He is over 18 and has a bill in his name, his is listed on the list as a resident, he has all his legal documentation to show who he is but an id. He has a college id. He lost his id and was now seeking to transfer over to a temporary license. The lady said he couldn't get the temporary license because they can't prove he is. She starts to yell at him. He asked "why are you yelling at me"? How is that when he has all this documentation he can't prove who he is? The officer gets upset because he refuses to get out of line. Tells him he needs to go to the back of line. My son does not. He asked for a clipboard they are giving everyone else in line. They tell him no get your own clipboard. Now here is the kicker, the officer stares my son down. Immedation for no reason. So, my son fills out all the information. He gets great customer service from the lady at the counter. She looks up his id that he lost, matches to the number he put on his paperwork. What do you know??? It is him. The officer leaves from the front when my son is called and goes to stare at the computer while he is being helped. Another scared tactic that is unnecessary. My son gets his temporary license and guess what he was right. I am a little upset how our state workers are to people in the community.I have been to this facility and they are just rude to say the least. If you don't like your job get another one. If you don't like working with the public don't. If you feel that you are better than the people you are servicing remember that all residents in Texas pay a part in your salary. I am not saying take any and everything thrown at you but listen and hear together and give better customer service.

Went there get DL renewed, also changed my address. Waiting time was 40 min for me on Thursday afternoon. To me the staffs were very helpful, polite and they all gave me clear directions to go through the process. The trick is make sure you checked in online before you go. There were a long line waiting outside of the door, and it could save them at least 1 hour by check-in beforehead.

If you are ready to spend a day without any outcome but gets your mood spoiled with rest of day, please have a visit once here. Worst people , worst service... government should give respect to people comments/concerns and take necessary action for better service...
