I was on hold since 10am until 5pm on a Monday(during their business hours), no one ever answered. Don't even get me started on going to the parking services building personally, it's just as bad. They always want money and they never want to come up with other more sensible solutions.

Nobody ever gets excited about parking services at Texas State University and I'm not one that is either. If you're going to wait till the start of the semester to go visit them know that you will stand in line for about an hour outside and then inside for about another half an hour or so as you wait to get your parking permits or passes. If you are a disabled veteran make sure that you go in with all of your necessary paperwork to get your parking permits for free. UPDATE: I'm extremely disappointed with Texas State. They ticketed me for parking in a visitor space (7 empty- never used spaces) with a handicapped tag after the 4 handicapped spaces became full. I've since taken pictures of Texas State Parking Services abusing their own laws and parking in Visitor Spaces and clearly marked NO PARKING zones.... At least 12 times.

Parking Services is a bit of a misnomer, because they serve no one with anything other than exorbitant fees and fines. Parking should be affordable for students and faculty, and should be accessible to visitors without a pass (I find this absurd, to require a pass for any brief visit). They are vultures plain and simple.

It's ironic adding the word "services" to what they provide to students. There is never anywhere to park for commuters, and your option are the $14 a day "pay to park" garages or fork over the bill and a half for a purple pass you'll never be able to use after 8am. The employees are rude, the meter maids are rude, and no one is here to help. It's sad that you can pay almost 15k a year for an education and not be allowed a place to park.

This business will rip you off and steal your money at any chance they get. Full of spineless losers to make a quick dollar off broke students already struggling to make ends meet.
