Story

In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, “to meet Pan Am stewardesses.” Suddenly, there was a place with great food, new and exciting drinks and an electric energy. A place where bartenders mixed the environment just as well as they mixed drinks. In short, a place like nowhere else. Today, Fridays in Baltimore, MD is still America’s most iconic bar and grill. We embrace and celebrate our heritage as a bar. One that just happens to serve killer food in an environment where it’s always Friday.

I ordered take home from my local TGIF the night before last. I will never do it again! The wait time was ridiculous, over an hour. I saw take out bags sitting on the counter and waiting to go out. The Uber Take Out guy,whom I'd struck up a conversation with, wasn't very happy either. My food was cold when I received it. There was no host to great me,so I had to do my best to figure out their system. An item was missing from my order. When I finally did receive the missing item, it was the only warm thing in the bag. On a good note,the food was tasty and enjoyed by my family, once I reheated it.

If I could give Zero Stars I would! The Hostess was nice and welcoming that was the only positive experience. Both Bartenders acted as if they didn't see me, one even sat down and starting playing with her phone. After 10 minutes I finally asked if the area I was seated in was part of the Bar area, she said yes. And that was it! No yes I'll be right over, just yes. I said well when can I expect service. She says oh well I'll be right over. At this point I had already decided to leave as soon as my Husband returned from the bathroom. She finally brought the menu over and said do you need a couple minutes...YES! I haven't memorized their menu. I've heard such horrible things, but decided to give it a try. Never again! I'll drive a little further to Columbia or Towson where the service is way better.

This was my first time at this TGIF location. Once we got seated, we were not even given menus by the hostess. When we did receive menus, approximately 10 minutes later, we ordered from the waitress. None of our orders were written down, which is fine if you are that great with remembering what guests order. However, she literally recited our orders at least 5 times, with each recitation including errors to what we had actually ordered. After our orders were placed, we waited 45 minutes before receiving glasses of water and an hour before receiving our appetizers. Mind you, we also ordered frozen margaritas, which we did not get until about a little over an hour. To my dismay, my margarita was a glass full of slush and did not taste like a proper margarita, whatsoever. About 1hr and 15min had surpassed, and we had still not received our meals. We were so displeased with the lack of professionalism, customer service, and wait times for food and beverages (mind you, the restaurant was not packed, and it was a Sunday evening), that we ended up just leaving the restaurant. Conclusion of this review: Do not eat at this location if you are expecting meals or beverages in a timely manner. Also, I would suggest that the staff here improve on their customer service, as we were initially met with a negative attitude by the hostess.

If it wasn't for the manager...he saved my overall experience. All my father wanted to do was take his daughter and granddaughters out to dinner. Our server was very sweet but TERRIBLE. She forgot half of EVERYTHING. My dad and daughter are finished eating, half my other daughters food came (and was eaten ) and I still don't have food. This is after our server decided she could no longer serve us. I waited 15 minutes still no replacement server. I got up and found the manager. Hopefully he comes thru with some food and discounts for his server nearly ruining our outing. Sad. Update! The manager saved the night

This Friday’s is terrible!!!!! There were more than several tables available and it took an hour to be seated, the food took too long it was good but it took long, the manager is terrible, terrible customer service and the waitress/ waiters steal whether you give them cash or card 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 Save yourself the trip and go somewhere else.
