Story

In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, “to meet Pan Am stewardesses.” Suddenly, there was a place with great food, new and exciting drinks and an electric energy. A place where bartenders mixed the environment just as well as they mixed drinks. In short, a place like nowhere else. Today, Fridays in Oak Park, IL is still America’s most iconic bar and grill. We embrace and celebrate our heritage as a bar. One that just happens to serve killer food in an environment where it’s always Friday.

Our waitress was very kind. She brought us free chips and salad because the wait would be long. My bf's steak was unbelievably tough. The check comes and I ordered a side salad but they bought me a bigger portion. I let the supervisor know and she brings me a new reciept. No change. I tell the waitress who said she'd tell the supervisor and we could go. I checked my bank account a few hours later and they charged me full price. 6 hours later, I'm still waiting on a call back.

The staff seem careless and very unprofessional. It was dirty and the floors were very slippery from the entry all the way to the restroom, but.. my food was decent.

The service was definitely unacceptable! From the time we were seated to the time we left. This was on April 7th around 4pm. Our waitress, Mary, couldn't pronounce have the beers on the menu. Several beers, they were out of and my coworker had to go to the bar to see what they did have. There were several dirty tables in the dining area for which there should have had a busboy handle instead of the waitress. We would have stayed longer but we had all that we could deal with. One of the times that our waitress made an effort to the table without being prompted was to collect the check and the tip. I will never go there again!

Worst experience waitress was friendly that was the only good thing and kept apologizing. The food didn't come out at the same time each got it at different time some waited 15min from the others on the table. Food we orders steaks and burgers all burned couldn't eat them then they only changed one steak and one burger which took longer at that point we were not happy and didn't not enjoy the food at all. Drinks were bad bar tender had no idea how to make drinks I guess. Never again I will go to that branch on oak park again. Thanks for ruining the bday dinner.

In the two times I've visited this place the first time my group was never served after waiting 20+ minutes for a waitress when we were already at our booth! Not even water was brought to us. Immediately left and returned the menus. The second time we were actually waited and brought water; however, the quality of the food was just down right terrible. Furthermore, our waiter barely checked on us as there were an abundance of problems with our order. Immediately left out after waiting 15 minutes for our check to be brought to us. TGINF: Thank God It's NOT Fridays
