Story

In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, “to meet Pan Am stewardesses.” Suddenly, there was a place with great food, new and exciting drinks and an electric energy. A place where bartenders mixed the environment just as well as they mixed drinks. In short, a place like nowhere else. Today, Fridays in Philadelphia, PA is still America’s most iconic bar and grill. We embrace and celebrate our heritage as a bar. One that just happens to serve killer food in an environment where it’s always Friday.

Um, how is this place still operating? Had dinner on a Tuesday night and there was some DJ giving a concert. Super loud. People smoking weed right outside the door, so thanks for the second hand high! Hostess was so incompetent. I gave my name they seat other people, then she kept calling for someone, party of 4. Okay. That is not my name and I am clearly party of 2. So then she is like, I've been calling you. What is your name? Yes, I have been calling you. Um, no you haven't. So my husband and I go to her work station, she tells us, we can sit down. Why were you calling my name if you don't have a table, LIAR! This is the most ghetto establishment I've ever seen. Took forever to get seat. Took forever to get food. Took forever to get check.

This is the worst TGIFridays that I have been. I wanted a takeout, but you have to go to the kitchen to order. The staff doesn't pay attention, therefore they would walk into you. I ordered traditional wings without sauce and the fried green beans. The wings tasted as though they were freezer burnt and cooked previously, then microwaved, resulting in becoming hard and dry. The green beans weren't coated and were dry and hard. I didn't want to warm my food, because it was already hard and dry..I spent $26.00 for some hard and dry food. Some people were even cooking without a uniform. NEVER AGAIN. I would rate this with a negative.

Management needs a shake up. The staff don't know what's from what. The host says one thing different from the next. Waited an extra 10 mins for a table in the bar area expecting to get bar pricing for drinks and appetizers since the host told us we could. Don't be fooled. You have to sit at the bar which has people stacked on one another, seats being held when nobody is there. As we were waiting the manager on duty was told by a table patron they weren't serviced and instead of getting them drinks to tie them over he left to go find somebody who was already probably busy themselves. Don't waste your time here.

The floor is sticky and the ppl are rude unprofessional. Food comes out slow.

Arrived with friends for a late night dinner at 10:30 and we were seated quickly but promptly ignored by servers for the next 20 minutes. We were then moved to another table where we were once again ignored for 15 more minutes. We asked many workers if we could speak with a manager and were never able to speak with one. By the time we got hold of someone we were told it was too late for us to order our meals. We had high hopes for this establishment but will not be returning.
