My family and I have been eating at The Bayou Restaurant in Havre de Grace, Maryland for over 15 years. While their menu has a variety of delicious entrees, we go there primarily for their seafood dinners, which are excellent and moderately priced. I especially love their fried shrimp dinner, but their fried oysters, crab cakes, sea scallops, and broiled salmon are also delicious. Also, great tasting oyster stew, seafood bisque, and Maryland crab soup! Excellent service, a cozy atmosphere, and very nice owners make this a wonderful dining experience every time we visit.

Nice place to enjoy a meal. Good service and quiet and personal experience. It's been a mainstay for HDG for years.

Older atmosphere and our waitress lacked any enthusiasm. The other staff members were very nice. The food was okay and I went on a day which apparently was free dessert day, bonus!

The food was amazing and service was excellent.  The owners are usually there to great you and are just very sweet people.  Their house dressing Parmesan peppercorn is so great, I bought extra to take home.  Great value for seafood. My husband and I have a wonderful meal with all the trimmings, cost about the same as any fancy chain restaurants and the food is so much better.

I have never had a bad meal at The Bayou.  Great seafood, steaks, burgers, veal and turkey.  Best cream of crab and seafood bisque.  Oh, and don't forget the homemade pies.  You'll have to take it home with you, because after you eat the veggie appetizer and rolls that are delivered to your table and your entrée, you'll be too full for dessert!  Be sure to make a reservation.  P.s.  Free dessert on Thursday's!
