This is my neighborhood bar and date night restaurant. It has live music every night of the week. I particularly enjoy Wednesdays with the acoustic Duo RPM and Sunday with the reggae band that turns the place into a crazy dance party. The food is very good. I have tried almost all the items in the menu and never been disappointed. The shrimp especially this time of the year are huge fresh and succulent. And believe it or not they also make a good steak here rare for a seafood place. It's got all the ambience you could ever want in a Florida restaurant beautiful sunset views Waterfront seating you can even pull up there in your boat, which I have numerous times. the staff is always very attentive to me. Give the Boatyard  a try.

Great waterside atmosphere. Amazingly friendly, knowledgeable and capable staff. Tex-Mex and seafood menu options. Highly recommend either as a break or after a beach day. Nice and not crowded in the afternoon.

The best part of the experience was that the drinks were a good pour.  Beyond that, it was mostly a downhill slide.
The hostesses were poorly taught and offered no help when there was no room at the bar.  And that was with almost no wait for a table.
I was looking forward to a good meal with hopefully some good music.
The music was good, but WAY TOO LOUD!  It was difficult to place the order and to hear my wife speak.
We both ordered grouper which was said to be fresh and in season.  Mine was lightly blackened and was BARELY passable in flavor.  Hers was grilled, was a little better than mine but still not great.
The waitress was nice but I eventually had to get my own tartar sauce to flavor the grouper because we were given sour cream instead....twice!!
I love the area, been on Siesta Key many times.  This was my first and definitely last dining experience at this establishment.
If you like your food sub-par, your music so loud that you can't enjoy your meal, by all means go there.  Not for me!!

Came here with family for dinner. They do not take reservations except for parties of 6 or more. All of the outside decks were closed due to weather but we had a nice window seat near the boat dock. Service was friendly & their cocktail list was excellent. I ordered ship wrecked. For dinner I had flounder and crab, my husband had crab legs, my uncle had rainbow trout and his gf had mussels. My food wasn't very flavorful and my uncle was saying the same thing. Def better seafood spots out there. Mussels were good and there was a live band. It gets loud but it was ok

The atmosphere was great. Had live music that was perfect, not too loud. I had the fish and chips and it was good.

Service was disappointing. My friend and I ordered whiskey and ginger ale...we were served whiskey and soda. When informed server, he insisted it was ginger ale. A) it wasn't. B.) Don't argue with client. C.) Although not his fault, apologize. 

Ordered a second round and they were perfect. They must have changed the syrup on the gun (I'm a barman). I mentioned the drink was better and still no apology. Wasn't looking for a free drink, but good customer service would have been to comp the first 2.

No worries. Paid and tipped $30 on a 95 tab, but still....probably won't go back.
