My wife and I came here with our four kids a few months ago not expecting much more than a fish camp. We were very pleasantly surprised with what we found. The house we were put up in was very large and SUPER clean. 
The kitchen was stocked with utensils, cups, plates, pots, pans, and paper towels. 
We arrived after office hours and they made arrangements for us to be able to get into our place and check in the following morning. The staff was very helpful. 
We were expected to wash our own towels and linens which was okay with us since the house had a washer and dryer in it.

Went to this place for two days, all I have to say is how awesome this place is, from the cottage to the beautiful customer Service. Very quiet, and especially friendly. 

Equipped with full kitchen with silverware, pans, and full size refrigerator. Very nice. I will definitely go back soon.

We stayed at Castaways for a week for our anniversary. The room was great! Clean and very roomy. The staff was so friendly and helpful! We kept our boat in a covered dock below our room. Our experience was excellent and we will be back!

I will never stay at this location, Castaway on the River because we will never feel safe again at this place.  We were to check  out at 10:00 AM on 2/08/18.  At 07:15 we were awaken by a man who had a key to the cottage walk into our room (and he had a key) while we were sleeping.  I called the office and reported that a man had walked into our room and she said "O, I'm sorry I gave him the key because he is a long term rental"
I not sure what that means but he is a rental guest and I'm sure she did not know that man enough to put our well being in harms way  because we were asleep and being asleep,  we would not been able to defend ourselves before he was already in the room.  But as soon as he realized we were still in bed, he did back out, luckily for us.  The lady who gave him the key to our room should never ever be able to issues key to he cottages or even rent them out.  Shame on her.
