This is THE premier attraction in Cleveland in my view. Much more worth visiting than anything else. A large museum with an amazing collection from a copy of the Thinker to 6000 year old Chinese pottery that would be a national treasure if it was rated in China. Enough artifacts here for a person to be sentenced to 10,000 years if they were smuggled out of the countries now. The various exhibits are very well thought out and presented and showcase interesting periods and cultures. Especially worth visiting is the South American exhibit which is the best exhibit of its kind in any museum I've been to. The museum itself is also full of interesting architecture, including a large open space in the middle which you'll probably take photograph in. Overall well worth the ticket price of 0 dollars. Any bags will have to be checked before you enter exhibits so keep that in mind. Consider a donation if you really enjoy the experience.

This (FREE!) museum is a Cleveland gem. It’s mix of old and new architecture and ancient and contemporary art. As far as a broad representation of all art forms, with some collection depth in some of those art forms, the CMA is as good as you’ll find anywhere in the world. See part of it in a half day or spend the day there. I love the small free exhibit that is on the right and left just as you walk into the 1916 Building and the antiquities (especially off to the left) on the first floor of that building. The impressionist collection has plenty to look at on the second floor. The cafe is a great place to pick up lunch or a refreshment. And parking is easy on the street for free or at a reasonable price in the garage.

A lot of variety of different art forms! Many exhibits to explore, giving you hours worth of art to sink in. If you stay for just a couple hours and concentrate on two galleries, you can always go back for more. I visited two Sunday's in a row and did not get bored with the galleries. This museum expands on cultural influence to art, it is an informative location and they host tours during the day. The atmosphere is mild calm, not too loud but also not a library, it is very relaxing. Great for all ages! Don't miss out on the black folding chairs on the second floor to help you get a good seat with your favorite piece to look at.☺

This is the absolute first must-see attraction for anyone visiting Cleveland, and for anyone in the vicinity who hasn't gone, and for anyone who hasn't come back recently! It's free, first of all, but it stands shoulder to shoulder with the finest art museums in the world. Something for everyone here, of every age and background. It's stunning, relaxing, and majestic. Don't miss it!

One of the worlds finest Art Museums. Rated number 3 or 4. An amazing building housing one of the worlds finest collections. It's endowment is the reason for this. At the turn of the century HALF of all the millionaires in the country lived in Cleveland Ohio. They left a boat load of money for the Arts. Our cultural institutes are among the finest in the world. As a wedding photographer we love this location. So many beautiful backgrounds inside and out. And an atrium you have to see to believe.
