This humble establishment can boast the best fish and chips in the Charleston area.  It is very eclectic, a true hole in the wall. They do not offer a huge menu but what they serve is truly done well, they offer an assortment of vinegar, and a delicious homemade tarter sauce.  The staff is very friendly. There is not a lot of seating, so you may have to wait for a spot or just get it to go 😊 update: the new location is much larger with indoor and outdoor seating. A few more options on the menu also. Full order fish&chips, half order, or just fish. And a bar! My recommendation is to eat the fish right when you get it...don't wait... like any fried food the longer it sits the more soggy/greasy it will get. Straight out of the fryer crisp and delicious 😋😋

You want to try the best fish and chips this side of the Atlantic? Look no further! Codfather proper fish and chips has the BEST! Light crispy batter wrapped around a plump, juicy piece of Cod accompanied by a plate FULL of Chips! Comes straight from the kitchen piping hot! A side of Mushy peas if you like! 
 Careful! This place is addictive!!!

Proper is the key word here.  Not served with printed tabloid paper, but using same material - this large piece of fish is brought to your table in true fashion.  The price is great for the portion served with chips.  Lots of chips though - may have to order the gravy   for them next time.  Simple menu to keep the order line moving.  Nice relocation opportunity, as it will sit on a key entry way to  Park Circle - revised development in Charleston.  Promising additions to come, as a bar has already been added.  If the city could only be quick to lend this establishment a slower speed limit on the main street or maybe a guard rail to protect the patrons as the outdoor seating is somewhat close to the road.

This is a great place to have some fish & chips. They were renovating and adding a bar last time we were there. You can either sit inside or outside. But be prepapred to wait if you are here during peak lunch hours. Service is prompt and they can serve u at your table for large orders. Non-alcoholic drinks like soda, water and iced tea are available. I'd like to think that this place is not wheelchair accessible because of the narrow way to the ordering window but i may be wrong.

It was really good and the portion size was fairly large. The fillet of fish was fried to a nice  golden brown and crispy. No soggy fish here! The tarter sauce was pretty great as tarter sauce goes. Great place for lunch.
