The management staff here have always been extremely friendly and helpful during my several-year stay, really going above and beyond for the residents. Maintenance issues in my unit were fixed quickly, even on weekends. Apartments have spacious floor plans, high ceilings, and plenty of storage. Amenities such as the media room, rear courtyard, gym, and lobby have been methodically upgraded over the past few years. Limited garage parking was available for a reasonable price. Overall a good place to live, well located to Central West End and Forest Park.

I have lived in The Chesterfield since August of 2015. My experience here been very pleasant overall. The management is friendly and helpful, and the maintenance staff is top-notch. It's a great location--the drive to Wash U is less than ten minutes, and it's a much safer neighborhood than many others in the area. The Chesterfield in particular has a nice residential feel, as it is located on a quieter street right next to a school. I am happy to have called this my home during my time in St. Louis.

The Embassy has been the greatest place to live, coming from two people who have a long list of preferences. The management is a delight and the maintnence is outstanding. Truly a luxury environment for a more than reasonable price.

I have been a resident here for 2.5 years and overall the living is great! I moved here for the dog friendly environment and walking score. CWE’s mission taco is exactly 1 mile away and has a dog friendly patio, which is perfect. Here at the apts, the staff is what makes the great living experience. The maintenance team is consistently prompt and the management team is extremely helpful. Also, lately they have worked really hard to have resident get-togethers which has really made living here fun!

As one of those house-hunter types who keeps a weighted spreadsheet of features for each apartment I view; and someone who has lived in some awful buildings before... I am enamored with this building and community.

Core features:
- CLEAN inside and out. 
- The bones of the building are sturdy, and the grounds are well kept
- Windows air tight, with storm sealing and screens
- doors and baseboards are flush, so heat/ac stays in, and critters stay out
- it's an old building so it has the saint louis charm, but feels brand new
- the attention to detail is superb. 
- Stairwells are washed regularly. Maintenance always walks around inspecting the building and repairing when needed.
- impressive soundproofing between units
- every unit we viewed had large beautiful windows which allowed natural light (even our bathroom has a skylight)
- large and powerful washer/dryer in our unit (also plenty in the chesterfield basement)
- our apartment has beautiful carpets in living areas, so you can take your shoes off and feel cozy, but has wood/laminate type floors on the entrance and walkways, so you don't have to worry about dirtying the carpet... a great combination. The carpet also creates more sound absorption, so the house always feels peaceful.
- there is even a real wood fireplace with marble framing and flue
- some units, including ours, have multiple levels with a beautiful staircase, making it feel like a home.
- the more I live here, the more I realize how much attention was put into the layout of the rooms and closets. They packed in so much functionality without feeling cramped... everything seems to be in the perfect place.
- the lobby of the embassy always looks, smells, and sounds wonderful.
- friendliest, most helpful staff. They truly care about the building and the community. I often stop at the free Starbucks coffee machine in the lobby on the way to work, and always leave a little happier than I arrived due to the wonderful environment and friendly staff.  
- there is even a pool for the summer months
- Large, gated parking lot... plenty of spaces for the residents + guests if needed
- bus stop right outside the front door. For those who take public transport, the bus on this route is also safer than others in my experience (including metrolink).
- the other tenants are quiet, respectful, friendly, and diverse
- there are enough neighbors to wave hello to while walking to/from the parking lots every once in a while, but large enough to rarely see the same person twice in the same day, or know their routines. So there is a sense of community, while still maintaining each other's privacy. 
- very pet friendly. But never hear dogs barking. In part because of the great sound proofing and sealed windows.
- the dumpers are in the parking lot, so it's easy to take out trash on your way out. It has become an invisible part of the routine. Other tenants break down boxes to save space and the trash is always picked up before it gets full
- there are even little trash cans by the mailboxes so you can immediately throw away junk mail before it clutters your home

Overall, this place not only gets the big features right like clean, well kept building/grounds with onsite maintenance, well insulated, soundproof, lots natural light, and safe parking. But also has other delightful additions like friendly, caring staff, holiday parties with actually good food, free coffee in a beautiful lobby, package reception, movie theater/party room, dog park area, swimming pool, well ventilated gym with quality equipment and large ceilings. 

Could not be happier here. Of the hundreds of places we've browsed in saint louis, this building had everything plus more. Felt in good hands since our first tour. Highly recommend.
