We are a furniture restoration shop specializing in refinishing, reupholstery, repair, antique restoration, antique/collectible sales & estate liquidation

We are a family owned and operated business serving the Mid Hudson Valley since 1981. We specialize in wood furniture refinishing, reupholstering, repairs, antique restoration, and custom window treatments. We perform insurance estimates and restore fire/water and transit damage furniture and cabinets. We do seat weaving, and pick-up & delivery is available. We offer hand rubbed finishing, and a full line of upholstery and drapery fabrics. We have a great reputation for high quality craftsmanship at reasonable prices. I had three tough, but well-loved Flexsteel mission-style pieces that, after over two decades of family wear, needed some wood refinishing as well as complete re-upholstery.

Steve's shop had all the skills, and skillful craftsmanship, to bring these pieces back to life for decades more use.  They are easy to communicate with and straightforward to work with too.

I'm happy I found them, and would recommend them to anyone, especially those with more complicated projects.

I brought my hope chest ,which was a very special gift made by my dad 30 years ago. I was heartbroken because it needed some repairs after standing the test of time. Like me a few scars from a past life. I brought it to Steve, and what a beautiful job!!! They made it just as beautiful as the day my dad gave it to me!!

I had frozen pipes burst and water damage to my beautiful Stanley dining room furniture in February 2016. The Finisher's Touch did amazing work to restore it and make it lovely again. They were reliable, timely, answered all my questions and returned phone calls. I would highly recommend them and they would be my first call if I needed anything done again.

So impressed with the excellent quality of workmanship by Finisher's Touch. Steve and team transformed the living room furniture we love and the craftsmanship shows.  Very fair pricing, delivered on time and great to work with. Will use Finisher's Touch again.

Steve Fisch, of The Finisher's Touch, is an excellent craftsman.  We had a dining room table that was damaged during a move (by the moving company) and he gave us a professional estimate for repair and then repaired the table after we won the case, in arbitration, against the moving company.
Steve is responsive and trustworthy; I highly recommend him.
