I used to work right across the street from this place so I got to experience some of the stages of its development. The Fulton Center is an interesting concept for a modern transit hub. I think part of the concept was to create some of the wonder that you feel when you enter Grand Central Station, but in a smaller scale. There's an eye in the sky type of round sunroof that can be enjoyed from many levels. There are several stores, including a Shake Shack which can be enjoyed before or after your ride. The place is a true architectural feat. It combines modern wonder while incorporating some of the old walls which were built back in time. There's an escalator that is built along the side of the building, the old brick walls are stripped open, you feel as if you are being taken back in time as you ascend, then when you get to the street level the modernity of the place takes you back to reality. The place has air conditioning in the warm months, has a private security and cleaning squad that keeps the place clean and safe. You can connect to so many of the city's subway lines as you stroll in wonder. You can go underground from Broadway to the edge of the Hudson River while protected from the weather. The occulus at the World Trade Center is a new wonder to be seen and explored as you walk along some of the fanciest shops in the city. If you continue walking west, you'll get to the old world financial center with the famed palm court. There's yet more fancy shops and restaurants where you can enjoy a good meal outdoors if the weather is good with views of the harbor, or inside where you can get lost in the marble of a new great destination.

No place to sit comfortably. You have to pay to sit down. So I think it's a unfriendly place for tired travelers. Place is well decorated but only for the eye. Not for the body. New York needs to learn!

Excellent shopping center with major connections to different train lines. Very clean and modern design center. Has a shake shack and a variety of small shops. Great place to take pictures also.

It's fine, as subway stations go. There are a lot of shops around, and the giant mall just a short white sterile hallway away. The best part is the shake shack on top!

Recently refurbished this shopping is small and focus more on food. They have a shake shack, la Colombes coffee and some bakeries. F you need a quick bite it is a convenient place to get something otherwise better places around the neighborhood
