The Great Australian Bakery is located in downtown Scottsdale in Old Town. What used to be a building of small stores has become an amazing bar and bakery. The furnishings are simple but the food is really good! I had one sausage roll and it filled me up. I took a cookie home and shared it because it was so large! This definitely is a place you want to visit.

I enjoyed the meat pies and the Biscuit (Anstek?) ok, it’s a cookie of some sort. It is a good place to get something to go while shopping & sightseeing in Old Town. It is not a place to dine in - no atmosphere or ambience.

It's great if you go when the manager/owner is there. Otherwise it's a great place to get a meat pie or sausage roll. Soo good with their sauce. I recommend the cottage pie, mash, smushed peas, and gravy. You'll die. No seriously! Update your life insurance! It's Delicious!

This was my first trip to the Great Australian Bakery, and I was there to pick up lunch for me and my coworkers. We ordered a variety of food (pies, rolls, pastries) and each one of the 5 of us were completely thrilled with the food! The rolls were amazingly flaky and baked perfectly. The pies were savory, but not salty and the filling was absolutely delicious. The pastries were clearly baked with love and tasted amazing. The owner came out while I was waiting to pick up my food and introduced himself and was very friendly. He was genuinely interested in how I was doing and what I was bringing back for everyone to try. There were 2 minor hiccups which is why I was not able to give 5 stars, However the customer service that was provided as follow up turned what could have been a negative into a positive. I would highly recommend The Great Australian Bakery to anyone. Do yourself a favor and grab a sausage roll and order a pint at the bar. You wont regret it.
