Great creative slant to traditional fare. Weekends get the french touch with great croissants, actually daily there is a theme it seems to me -yes I go often. Pleasant not push staff and do not forget to order a cake -did that for my Mom's 92nd it was awesome!

Owner Lauren threw tantrums every time I went in! I gave this bakery a try 3 times earlier this year and was not at all impressed. The baked goods seemed day old at best, not fresh at all. I would expect this quality in the discount bin at the local bargain grocer but not in a specialty bakery shop. So that is bad enough to not go back, but the worst part of trying out this bakery was the owner, who I later learned is Lauren. Every time I went in I could hear her yelling and screaming in the back. One trip she came out slamming things around the front counter and yelling about someone who works there. Next visit she is screaming down the phone at someone saying she was going to make them pay for it. Final visit Lauren and I assume her business parter Peter are both screaming at each other. She was in a fit of tears and again slamming things around saying it's not her job. He was yelling back at her calling her irresponsible and saying he's selling the place. Sorry but get it together. If this is what you do right in front of customers I can't imagine how these owners behave when customers aren't there. It was such an ugly display of unprofessional behaviour. and it was every time I went in. I'd expect better from my 3 year old then this. Worst atmosphere of constant yelling and tantrums. I cannot bring myself to try them again. This business won't last. Awful products and scary owners.

The gluten free desserts they have are delicious and they always give my dog a treat too. Chocolate chip cookies are my favorite here.

The presentation of the food was great and very well made the coffee was excellent but the service sucked the tables were dirty with trash on it even after informing the girl i was eating in my table wasn't cleaned off so i picked the trash off and used a napkin to wipe the table and i was never offered a coffee cup there were 3 girls behind the counter and an empty store. To the owners your food is superb but your customer service with lazy girls sucks

Where do I even begin?!?!?! This bakery has a wide variety of from scratch goodies including gluten free items. The gluten free items I have tried have an incredible consistency to them. They aren't crumbly sandy sadness trying to be passed off as a sweet treat. They were moist and flavorful which was nice, celiacs have tastebuds too! Next up, the fudge brownie. Holy fudge this thing is no joke! Massive, dense, and delectable. That's going to be hard to stay away from. Even if you arent in a sweet mood they have some extraordinary savory biscuits. Pro tip: do not pass up the bacon biscuit when you go in! That thing was a gold mine of cheesey bacony goodness! The atmosphere was open and inviting, and the staff was perhaps the best part of my visit. Every single one of the ladies in lilac made me feel welcomed- like walking in to an old friends house. They were very informative and helpful in offering suggestions of things I might enjoy. They are all incredibly patient with you as you try to narrow down your choices to just a few. The coffee, which is local and organic, was perfectly balanced. Bold, and not at all bitter. Overall, I am EXTREMELY impressed with Lilac Bakery and can't wait to watch this little gem thrive.
