I called and speak with Jose. When I showed up to drop off my truck for an interior clean . When I returned, interior detailed was done professionally with each & every part. Went in on Saturday and had my car washed, clay barred, and sealant waxed.  It looked great as it was nearing completion but then it started pouring rain.  The manager discounted me and wrote in on my receipt to have a check done on the sealant wax the next time I go in.  After drying it off from the rain in my garage it still looked good.  Thanks :)

Best car detailing in town. tried other near by cleaning and was not happy. Jose and his team did an amazing job on cleaning my Toyota inside out. If you try once, you will come again and again. Thank you for the best service with great pricing.

Let me start this review off stating that "Hand Car Wash" did a good job washing our 2017 BMW X5M over the course of the last 12 Months.  Their owner, the gentlemen with the Tan Mercedes E-Class seems like a squared away individual and a good businessman, however, the same cannot be said for the management he has running his day-to-day operation.  I will start this review off by stating facts and some of my own opinions:

FACT:  I purchased an unlimited 12-month wash pass in February 2017 for $599.00.  Key word being UNLIMITED.  That said, I used my UNLIMITED pass on average once per week and if I had the time two to three times a week depending on the weather.

FACT:  They did a good job cleaning our vehicle.

FACT:  On average you will wait one to three hours to get your car washed.  During peak hours cars will turn away on their own due to the long wait.

FACT:  Out of the four wash bays that are available I've only seen two that are open.  This contributes to the long wait time.

OPINION:  It appears the car wash is understaffed.  This contributes to the prolonged wait time.

OPINION:  When the owner is present, the management and his workers give 100%.

OPINION:  When the owner is not present, the management and workers give 60%.  Again this contributes to the long wait time.

OPINION:  The manager is not an effective communicator and lacks the customer service skills to be effective in his position.

FACT:  Early in February 2018 I reached near the expiration of our 12-month UNLIMITED wash pass.  I was approached by the manager and asked if I would like to renew it.  He stated it would be $599.00 for the renewal fee.  I told him I would think about it.

FACT:  I came in three times that same week in early February 2018 due to a racing event, car show and rain to have my BMW X5M washed with my UNLIMITED pass.  Upon my arrival on the third day I was not greeted by the manager with "Hi How Are You?" or "Welcome Back!"  Instead he said in a condescending tone "Oh... we washing it everyday now?"

FACT:  Today, 9 February 2018 upon completion of my weekly car wash the manager approached me and he stated in a condescending tone "Since you come in every day it will be $1,000 to renew your annual pass."  At this point I insisted on speaking to the owner.  After deflecting my requests the manager called and texted the owner on the phone, spoke to him in Spanish and offered to renew at $799.00. 

FACT:  During the same conversation the manager mumbled, "maybe you can find somewhere else to go."  I heard the manager loud and clear and we have found another hand car wash in San Antonio.

I did speak to the owner on the phone later in the day.  He was unaware that the manager had offered me the renewal at $599.00.  Additionally, he stated that he hadn't changed the prices in almost four years and that he was contemplating a shift the following month.

If the manager had stated that the renewal fee had gone up $200 due to a price increase across the board I probably would have renewed.  Instead he painted a picture that I came too often and he didn't want my business.

Hand Car Wash has lost two year's worth of business from us due to these chain events.
