I was planning on refinishing a coffee table and didn’t know what type of wood I was dealing with. I brought a piece into the store with me and spoke to Jim in Contracting if he could identify it for me. He quickly told me what it was and how he knew it was pine, which was all I needed to know to start looking at stains colors. 

Jim went above and beyond by warning me that pine tends to stain unevenly without conditioner. He saved me what would have been a lot of extra time and heartache as I was planning on staining my table ebony. He told me about tack cloth that will help me clean the sanding dust off my projects to prep themfor conditioning/staining. He also helped me locate the sandpaper I needed and the wood oil I needed for a separate project. 

Kevin in the paint department was extra helpful as well. He made sure I had the right brush, stain and poly I was looking for and he thew in the stir sticks I nearly forgot to grab before checking out.

Wonderful people all around.

Was asked twice if I needed help finding anything.   In the past at HD I've had to hunt down a CSR.  Good experience.

I'm a regular customer at home depot. Recently I had big plumping project at my house to were I spent about $2000 at Home Depot in supplies. We had some un used parts that needed to be returned. So I went to the home Depot where I bought the 345 N Springboro Pike, Dayton, OH 45449 with the all the receipts for the merchandise. The female at the customer service desk didn't want to take the time to look in the receipts I had to find locate the items but instead she asked for the credit card I used. I gave her my credit card and she located the items on the system. I informed her that this card is no longer valid and gave her the replacement card from the same bank. I gave her my ID and both cards with my name on both of them. She told me that I can only get store credit since the account number on the replacement card does not match the account number on the card that was used at the time of purchase. I reminded her that I have all my receipts for the purchases and that I'm entitled to a refund. She was very rude and walked away without saying anything. She came back with a guy that accused me of comic ting fraud because I'm asking for a refund. I reminded him that I have my ID and that both credit cards are in my name and I have receipts for all the items. The only thing is that the card that I used at the time of purchase was cancelled because I thought I lost it and a replacement card was issued and I had both cards with me because I found the card that I thought I lost. The guy got more rude and sarcastic and told me you have no other choice and walked away. I decided to take the store credit and took a picture of both of them to post it on your site since I didn't trust them to give me their real names. I was told by the guy to delete his pucture or i will be presecuted for invading his privacy and he was very hostle towards me. I recommend you to chose better people to represent business or you will be losing a lot of business. Accusing people of being fraud just because your workers are too lazy to look in the receipts is not acceptable.
