Patty worked with me to design my kitchen. Extremely good at her job. She knows the trades and is able to give structural knowledge and not just style. She offered options and guided me through the process. (Not to slam the compitition but I paid for IKEA to do this job and over 2 years later I'm at Home Depot).

I went there for one item, a dowel rod. When I walked in, I was greated by someone who asked if she could help me. I told her what I was looking for and she told me to go straight down Aisle 8 to the end, which I did. I was in the kitchen section, no dowel rods. i began roaming the aisles, not seeing a single employee to help me, and eventually I found what I wanted. Home Depot used to have employees everywhere ready to assist.

Maybe not as well stocked as some Home Depot stores but they seem to have the basics and what's needed for most projects. Lowes at Brick Yard is a good alternative.

Customer service is the worst. Wait 30 minutes for someone to help me. Spoke to 3 people and all 3 said, "let me call someone for you" well that someone never came. Spoke to a cashier about who could I speak to and she too said the same thing. "Oh, I don't know who can help you, let me call someone for you". REALLY!!!!!! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. THIS is why I always go to Menards.
