Great Seattle original. Great food, great atmosphere and great music too. This venue/cafe/bar was another very important place for bands in the late 80s to make their mark. They throw down at the bar! If you order liquors, they gonna be strong.

This place has really good pizza. 12" personal size cooked in a wood fire oven. Crust isn't too doughy and not thin. Amazing green salad for $6!! Decent place for drinks and food. I always sit at the bar and staff is friendly and attentive.

Super cool old place. In fact, it's the oldest bar in Seattle! Good drinks, prices weren't bad for downtown. Live music was loud, but that's to be expected.

For being self advertised as "Seattle's Oldest Bar" the nachos surely taste like advertised. The chips have the crunch of bring made locally, shipped overseas, bought back on some sort of alt-foodie exchange program, and reheated by the light of the moon. There chicken is very well shredded, but feels like it's from poultry begging for it's life-force to be extinguished. The sour cream and vegetables taste like they are grown fresh behind the bar with love. Most of all - the music selection makes me want to stay. The staff is great too.

Some history, drinks, nice people, and better-than-expected food. It was open mic night so go to see a few random musicians. Not normally into that kind of thing but everything just had a such a positive vibe. Really loving the friendliness of this city.
