The food was truly inspired! Amazing oysters and the savory tart was perfect! I had the chicken and the Sauce Robert was mind-blowing! The Lady had the fish special, a black cod dish that was phenomenal. Behind the bar, Tammy made the best Sazerac I've had in Seattle. It is THE cocktail i have been searching for. I was seated at the end of the bar with full view of the kitchen. The chefs worked in harmony in near silence while slamming out dishes like a well oiled machine! We ordered an upside-down cake for desert and almost went back for a second after tasting it. An all around fantastic experience. Food, service, environment. We will be back sooner than later!

You will need a reservation. This was an extraordinary meal, starting with a very helpful and delightful waitress who had worked at this business for over 8 years. She had terrific suggestions and, surprise, highlighted a chicken dish which was the locals' and her favorite. This was wonderful. We enjoyed a most memorable meal, including home made cookies (!). We out of town boys will return on our next trip to Seattle.

MAKE A RESERVATION. If you don't, it's at least an hour wait- no matter what time you get here. The hour wait IS worth it. The food is the best I've had in Seattle so far. Eggs Benedict are amazing and so is the Breakfast Plate. Also ordered a Bloody Mary which was spicy and flavorful. This is a vvvery small place but clean, friendly, and great food. Will definitely come back.

To attempt to describe how delicious the food is at this restaurant, would be an understatement. My vocabulary is not expansive enough do that description any justice. The food here is made from scratch, with ingredients that were fresh. The portions are big and will have no problem settling your growling stomach. The staff are polite, offer great customer service, and had a friendliness about them that made you feel like family when you walked in. I was lucky enough to walk in and get a table right away, but I would not recommend you take that chance; instead, call ahead to make a reservation. This is the type of restaurant that will offer you an amazing experience in taste and quality no matter what you order on the menu.

Not to sound pompous, but I waited over 30 minutes for a bowl of soup which cost unbeknownst to my knowledge $13! This price seems rather astronomical for something that is typically $6-$8. Granted the soup was delicious hence me not giving the cafe a 1-star rating, but I felt uncomfortable being there as well. My server barely noticed me and when I walked out of the cafe, she continued her conversation with the other employees. Overall the decorum is nice, but I felt the staff was rather inattentive and preoccupied.
