Nice people. But we were made to believe we would get to see cheese being made, but there were only 2 people there hanging out in an office in the very back of the building. They do have decent cheeses and they give samples. But the prices are high.

We were in Lexington for a weekend stay and my wife spied this out in one of the tourist guides.  The owner's wife gave us a brief history of the business that started out as her husband's curiosity about making cheese.  She was a great hostess.  She also spoke about how different kinds of cheese are made.  Samples were available.  They stocked some of the different cheeses they made along with lots of other foods items made in Kentucky.

Tour is free and personally given. Tasting was good. Enjoyed becoming an honorary cheese minion. Fun, fun fun

We love Boone Creek Creamery products.

My family and I had a fantastic time. We took the tour, video was very informative, but the best part was getting to become an honorary Cheese Minion. Getting their picture taken in the the big pot with cheese hats, what a hoot, the kids talked about it for hours after we left. Definitely worth the 30 minutes it took. Highly recommend.
