Unique coffee shop & bakery in historic downtown Excelsior Springs, MO. We are the home of "Excelsior Roasting Co". and specialize in our OWN fresh roasted espresso and single origin drip coffees. We also serve organic teas, smoothies, homemade pastries, pies, cakes and fresh scratch soups and grab & go sandwiches & wraps.

I really want to give this place a good review the owners,are so nice and do so much for the community, but...the staff is rude (Are you hiring family and friends? please hire real employees. it's the same at Bobcorn their other store everyone in town complains about their employees!) The coffee and coffee drinks are so bad coffee shops in all the surrounding towns make fun of it. It's a huge joke how bad the coffee at this coffee shop is. The hot chocolate too tastes like water, how do you mess up hot chocolate!!! The lunches are the only thing that's edible. I've had some decent sandwiches and salads. After tasting and drinking their coffee , pastries, and breakfast I was actually pleasantly surprised by the lunches.

Absolutely LOVE this place! The service you receive here is nothing but excellent! Kim and her crew know their stuff and are happy to help you with anything. Custom drinks, cakes, cupcakes, anything you can think of is off the wall crazy good! Watch out Starbucks and Caribou, The Mug is the place to be!

I come up to Excelsior from Gladstone every Sunday just for the coffee. The employees are super friendly and my coffee is always delicious. They roast it all in house, it’s absolutely the best quality you can get out here.

Stopped in today for the first time. Coffee tasted great and it’s on my way to work. I love being able to support small businesses. I’ll be back!

My husband and I not only loved the coffee, but Rob and Kim were so kind. We could have stayed and talked for hours. Really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and delicious coffee. Can't wait to stop by the next time we are in town :)
