The Oaks Wine bar seats up to 75 people and takes a thoughtful approach to wine
of all varieties. The Oaks is the only traditional wine bar around.

Story

The Oaks is the beginning of a long project Kelly and Jeridiah have begun in the beautiful town of Winona, Minnesota. The location is the previous site of Rock Solid, a youth center and amateur theater. The theater is really the reason for this grand adventure, and Kelly's passion. But we were left wondering what to do with the space downstairs. After a lot of considerations and ideas, we settled on the idea of a wine bar. A place for adults to enjoy a nice drink and socialize with friends. We have a lot of ideas for the building, and we aren't going to give up all of our secrets just yet, but please keep checking back for new things as we go. We think it's going to be a much needed addition to the downtown and we hope that everyone else thinks so too.

Because we are not a restaurant, we are required to purchase a full liquor license. This is probably a good thing for the Winona downtown, as we are going to offer a lot of upscale and nice drinks that we otherwise would not have done. Wine is definitely our focus, but we will have small batch whiskeys, ryes and vodkas; many from right here in Minnesota and the Midwest. And of course craft brews for those who prefer a good pint. There will be a little bit of everything for those who prefer something just a bit better than the rest.

Our menu will be small and simple, but certainly not plain.
