Old Bay Restaurant has been New Brunswick, NJ's premier craft beer bar for 30 years and counting. We offer a fresh selection of seafood daily with our famous Louisiana specialties. We also offer Live entertainment from Tuesday through Saturday.
The Old Bay Restaurant has been a fixture in downtown New Brunswick at the corner of Church and Neilson streets for 30 years, serving gourmet New Orleans Cajun Creole cuisine.
In January of this year we started an ambitious project to change our concept to a fine seafood house. This involved a complete renovation of the exterior and interior of our restaurant. We implemented a new color scheme, artwork and restaurant layout. We added a new cocktail bar that we call “The Dock of The Bay” and refurbished our beautiful mahogany bar into an Irish style pub room.
Our menu has also completely changed to feature daily fresh fish, and shellfish such as crab legs, raw oysters, sea scallops, and gulf shrimp all expertly prepared. Soon we will be serving whole Maine lobster on weekends. We retained a few of our “classic” New Orleans dishes because well; they were just too good to remove from our menu! We also serve many bar friendly Pub food items.
What we did not change is our professional but friendly service, an award winning 24 tap craft and import beer list, innovative specialty cocktails, amazing drink specials Monday thru Friday and entertainment including live bands and hot DJ’s starting at 9:30 pm every night. All of this at a price that is very reasonable compared to other establishments in town.
