Amazing baked goods! We had peanut butter cinnamon rolls, a Carmel roll, and a sugar cookie. All were very good. A large selection was available to choose from. The owner suggested the peanut butter roll and it was well worth it! We will be returning.

Absolutely one of the businesses in town! They are even expanding! Michelle and her staff are also so friendly and engaging. All of the food is excellent, this place is great for more than just coffee and baked goods. Try their White Wedding Cake, TO DIE FOR!!! My weekly favorite is peanut butter cinnamon roll!!! Its the bomb! Great work Michelle and Team, keep it up!!!

My score is from two visits (1/6/18 & 1/13/18) because the level of service we received on each visit was completely opposite of the other.

1/13/18 ZERO STAR Rating: 

We arrived at 12pm and we’re really looking forward to a great lunch and latte because our visit on the previous Saturday was awesome. 

Well, unfortunately this visit was a total disappointment. They had no soup ready and didn’t appear to willing to heat any up for us.  So, we figured we’d get a a couple lattes and a pastry. We ordered to skinny lattes and before we got around to ordering the pastries the guy informed us that he didn’t believe they had any skim milk. He asked someone in the back who wasn’t sure either so he walked off and went to see if they had any. A few moments later he returned and apologized for not having any skim milk. We were completely dumbfounded that this visit had gone from one of great anticipation to one of great disappointment. 

This place advertises lunches, but didn’t have any soup ready at lunch time (?). They promote lattes but don’t have any milk to serve it and all we got was a mediocre apology. 

I seriously doubt we’ll ever return because despite our first visit the second one was so disappointing.

Here is my original review (1/6/18) 5 STARS Review:

OMG! THe Omaha Bakery is one of the best kept secrets in Omaha! We read the reviews and made a point of making their cafe a main destination this weekend and we were not disappointed. 

The staff was friendly and Nicole, the Manager Chef, had a great sense of humor and ensured we had a great experience on our first visit. 

I’m a sucker for a great presentation and the presentation of the pastries hooked me in, which meant I ended up eating two fantastic pastries along with my latte. My wife had chicken salad sandwich and baked potato soup and she loved it.

We’ve been looking for a casual coffee house that serves comfort food and now that we’ve found it we’ll be back!

I was disappointed to say the least with our most recent visit. We bought a few brownies, a slice of cake, and an additional pastry. I understand it was later in the day, but the cake was unbelievably dried out and crusted over. The brownie selection was creative and appealing to the eye but the toppings were stale and the brownies were ok. We had to wait awhile since they were very cold from being refrigerated. The pan au chocolate pastry was good, especially after heating it up.

I am willing to pay a premium for higher quality and better selection but the value wasn't there for sure. I have had items from here before that were better, so I am assuming the time of day contributed to the quality. The cost didn't match up with the quality today.

We bought my granddaughters 2nd birthday party cake from Michelle at The Omaha Bakery.  I've had their wonderful cakes at different functions and had her make an Ice Cream Cone Cake with my 3 favorite flavors; 1 Scoop Vanilla with Raspberry filling cake, 1 scoop Chocolate cake, and my favorite Lemon Creme cake for the cone.  You can't go wrong with The Omaha Bakery.
