The people at the Omega Society are top notch. We worked with Mark Clemens he was very professional and knowledgeable. The prices were very reasonable. My mother expressed a desire to have her body used for science or Dr. training. The Omega people put us in touch with Science Care. Science Care enables "whole body" donation to local universities. We were able to make arrangements with them all in a single visit. The amazing thing is when you provide the whole body donation there is NO COST for the cremation. A seamless and very positive experience.

I know I'm late in posting this, but having to go through the same situation now, in Illinois, made me remember I had not thanked Omega for their caring and extra effort. On November 20, 2015 they stepped in and made one of the worst days of my life survivable. On very short notice Omega took care of everything with respect, dignity, and at a cost I could afford. They really understand, and I recommend them highly.

We were recommended this place by a friend after our father's passing. Apparently they had a good experience. We wanted something low-key and easy, so we gave it a try. 

In a nutshell, it was the most horribly disorganized, confusing, frustrating, and excruciating experience we could possibly have had. 

I know this experience will never be good, but they seemed almost completely incompetent; they repeatedly gave us contradictory information, repeatedly failed to answer our questions (about simple things like where we could find out more information about the cause of death), and we paid extra for a rushed cremation (as family was in town) but had to call them each morning to remind them that this was the case (as they said they would call us, but repeatedly didn't). 

I must say that the person we worked with, Mark, was the cause of most of these problems, and that the other employees we were luck enough to speak with were very helpful, and gave us confidence. But, overall, it was an unnecessarily horrible experience. 

I don't usually write reviews, but promised myself I would so that nobody would have to go through the same experience. Avoid Mark, and likely Omega too.

I buried my mother this week and used The Omega Society only after my mom's hospice company highly recommended them to be a very reasonable company for funeral services.  I had already picked another company but went by blind faith since I am also a hospice volunteer with them.  Never again will I use them or recommend them to anyone.  This company is in it for a pure profit gain.  I went from wanting a full burial to having a direct burial because the price they advertise on the internet is not what you get once the body is there and you're stuck having to pay more than you think you are going to pay.  In the end, I brought my mom a dress for them to at least dress her and was denied and told to just bring a blanket to cover her body since I did not pay the extra money to have someone put the dress on, or else they would only lay the dress on top of her naked body.  I will surely send a letter to Hospice Care of the West to let them know my experience and for them to stop recommending them to their hospice patients' families.  I will never recommend this company to anyone.
