If I could give it negative stars I would. Went here for the breakfast buffet. It was the worse food ever. I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. First of all when we got there everything was pretty empty so I told the lady so she said they will bring out fresh food. He brought out bacon and it didn’t even look cooked. The waffles were hard as a rock. The sausage, well so they say it was sausage I didn’t try cause I don’t know what it even looked like. The eggs had a funny taste. But they had hard boiled eggs and they were good. But then again the only way to mess them up is to under cook them. The French toast tasted nasty. They had no bread. So we decided to just take a loss and leave. I did tell the person there that it was horrible the worse food I ever tasted. The only thing she had to say was she was very sorry. Will never go there again
We were in town for 2020 vacation and spotted this buffet - It looked good from the outside. The first disappointment was that they ADDED 15% GRATUITY to our bill and charged us for the meals immediately as we walked in. WHAT?? This put a bad taste in our mouths right away. The food was below average, and the service was below average. We went to the Red Oak Buffet the following night which is right next door. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Great food, great service! Same price. Red Oak Buffet is a really outstanding buffet. I'm very sorry we ate at the Rusty Rudder.
If I could I would give 0 stars!!!! This place was the most HORRIBLE restaurant that I have ever been too!!!! The food was cold, slimy and disgusting!!! The food looked old like it sat all day long! They had melted ice cream in a little freezer, when I went to get one for my 3yr old it went all over my hand! I made the hostess know because she was the only staff I saw and she stated "I know, the freezer is broke!" Then she stated they had no more in the back to give!!!! THIS PLACE MADE ME WANT TO THROW UP!!! NOT WORTH THE $67 I PAID TO FEED MY FAMILY! Also when opening the front door to enter you get bombarded by staff and they suffocate you until you order so you can't get a good look at the food until you pay and then refuse to give you a refund when unhappy!!! This place needs SHUT DOWN!!!!!
We are not satisfied. Overly priced. Food is terrible. Very plain and no flavor. Not many options, the ones they do are not very edible. We spent almost 90 dollars for a family of 5 and not satisfied. Shrimp and crabs the had were dirty. My son said his rice was hard. There Salmon was horrible. My daughter even said her marshmallows were hard. Had to wait awhile for strawberry. And a tip should be a choice. They force you to pay the minute you walk in with 15% tip included. It's a rip off stay away. Definitely go to Red Oak better options. Food there is actually edible. They only thing appealing there is one of the waiter's. Don't be fooled by the lady's charm when you walk in. Do yourself the favor walk out and go to Red Oak. That's a buffet.
The food was really good and well prepared with a great selection. The staff members were very attentive and friendly, always with a smile. I recommend the omelets for breakfast fresh made in front of you by a girl who looks like a model. I loved the mussels and salmon for dinner - the shrimp was great too. This is my 3rd year I've come back here and I've come here for breakfast and dinner. It is very convenient to the boardwalk and beach. I highly recommend them and will come back in the future.
The sign out side of the restaurant stated $12.99 for an all you can buffet. Upon walking into the restaurant, we were nicely greeted by 2 woman. As they walked us towards cash register,they proceeded to tell us about all the food we had to choose from. Everything from fresh salad , roast beef,pork, chicken, a lot of seafood ,desert,etc. My husband & I thought that was great,especially for the price. Well,the food was less than mediocre & the price was NOT $12.99 per person! They added on an additional 15% for gratuity! I would completely understand if it was for a larger party, but it was only myself & my husband! I will NEVER go back! Total waste of money
Not even sure where to start LOL. The additional fee for parties of 2 was a little ridiculous. We decided to try this place anyway. All of the food was cold and my boyfriend and I both had stomach aches after leaving. The eggs were in the buffet with a puddle of raw egg, sausage looked like sausage but tasted like nothing, it was very weird and didn't taste like regular meet, the bacon was burnt, potatoes cold. There was one guy attempting to make omelettes on a small grill which took forever so most people were leaving the line. The omelette selection consisted of 4 different options so nothing to write home about. I'm not sure how this place even has 1.5 stars. I'm actually surprised it's still open. That was our first and last visit here! We'd prefer to starve than eat here again.
I wish I read the reviews before I ate here I usually do. This is far by the worst Buffet I ever had. This can't be by the Chinese?? Anyway all the food I ate was too much gease/butter/margarine. The crabs were really cold. Who serves cold crabs! They should of been hot and straight from the steamer. Thank GOD I didn't have to pay for my child. And they have the nerve to charge gratuity. Also I didn't like the price wasn't what their flyer said. The only thing that was fresh and good to eat was the fried shrimp, only because I caught the batch they just put out. TO MANAGEMENT :Hire better cooks! And make sure the crabs are HOT
One off the back from entering, they charged 15% tips.to our card before we even ordered or sat down! Food tasted BLAND! No flavor, meatballs were raw in the middle, some of the noodles were burnt on ends and dry ewww! We asked for lemon slice which they act liked they didn't know what it was and just gave me lime! Soda was flat, they kept bumping my chair! Awful time NEVER AGAIN! Now we know why they charged tips beforehand to avoid not getting any for the awful service and food!
We had the dinner buffet. The only thing I could eat was from the salad bar. I’m not a picky eater, but their food was just nasty. I tried eggplant Parmesan. It was so so bitter. I also tried so called crab cakes. They were nothing more than bread crumb balls with old bay seasoning. Even the zucchini didn’t taste like zucchini. Don’t bother! For $40 for 2 people, it’s just crazy.
