Everything was delicious and giant! Pancakes bigger than your head, huge bowls of amazing home fries, fresh fruit yogurt bowls and quart sized Mason jars of cold brew coffee. Staff was friendly and super efficient. They have the system down. Food arrived quickly, hot and correct. First time here but will not be our last. Vegetarian options: Pancakes, home fries, yogurt bowls Kid-friendliness: High chairs, boosters, shirt stacks, kids meals
1960s themed diner with rather tired decor. Would look better if they got rid of the plastic palm trees. The place was near empty on Friday night of a holiday weekend. We had the crab cake sandwich with a side order of French fries. The crab cake was small, edible, but not great. The slice of tomato was clearly greenhouse grown. How can a restaurant in New Jersey not find locally grown Jersey tomatoes at the end of August? However, the sauce that accompanied the sandwich was surprisingly good. The bottom of the bun was so hard from being on the grill, I could barely bite through it. The French fries were fresh and hot, pretty good. My partner had the Greek gyro. Portion was nice, with ingredients very nicely arranged on the platter, and extra pita bread was provided upon request. However, the lamb was so overlooked he had to send it back. The replacement lamb was prepared much better. We took the overcooked lamb home for our pets. Even they wouldn't touch it. I give the restaurant credit for trying to make things right by replacing the overcooked lamb. But the food just wasn't that good. We won't be going back. Vegetarian options: Given that the menu was mostly burgers and ice cream, vegetarian options weren't great. Kid-friendliness: The vibe attempted to be California surfer circa 1960s, with plenty of burgers and iced cream on the menu, which seems kid friendly. Parking: Parking was extremely limited. If the restaurant became crowded, there would likely be difficulty finding parking. Dietary restrictions: I have been trying to eat healthier since moving to the area. Most menu items were burgers, fried seafood, other high calorie junk food. I doubt dietary restrictions can be accommodated.
Went here on 7-30-22 at around 7pm. It wasn’t to crowded. We ordered homemade mozzarella with marinara sauce to start. When they came out we were amazed on how big they were. We are used to the mozzarella sticks. They taste so good! I definitely recommend these to start! I decided to get the chicken cesar wrap with fries and a pickle. The cesar wrap was the best that I had while in Wildwood. Plenty of chicken, dressing and lettuce throughout the wrap. The fries were cooked and seasoned perfectly as well! Service was great! I definitely recommend Marvis Dinner while in Wildwood!
Huge menu, delicious and friendly staff! Edit: went back for breakfast and that's when things really get good! Hash browns, pancakes all delicious.
Got take out breakfast for myself, wife and 4 year old. Very impressed. Huge portions. They make a mickey pancake my daughter loved. I got the Marvis Hell which was amazing. Wife got a huge breakfast sandwich which she also loved.
DELICIOUS. Bruh how many stars can I give this place? We came in expecting an average American diner but we were BLOWN AWAY. Is this what a gourmet diner experience is?!?! This felt like a fancy restaurant mastering the art of diner food. The food tastes homemade. Every single thing we got was 1 enormous and 2 delicious. I felt like Guy Fieri had personally manifested this Googie beauty and dropped it into easily walkable Wildwood. For example the waffle fries were perfectly baked, creating a mashed potato inside with crunchy outside and they were perfectly salted and so addicting to eat...same with the fried fish! Our waiter had a sense of humor while also being very polite and soft-spoken; he was so genuine and kind. The hostess was very welcoming and understanding. Meal by meal breakdown...My mom was blown away by the freshness of the chicken soup she said it had a grandma's-cooking feel to it. My dad always orders fish and chips on vacation, so he is our control group, and he too was highly impressed, saying this take on the dish was something sensational. Lastly I got the Shrimp Diavolo and man, they gave me a portion that could easily feed a family of 5. Afterwards I had to take it to the motel fridge in a box and I was emotional that I couldn't finish it all. Honestly I even felt that way during the meal...I was sad that I was getting full! Long story short, this place NAILED it. 10/10. The photos don't do it enough justice, it was AMAZING! Couldn't have been better, from the presentation to the chefs to the staff. Next time we're in Wildwood, we're going here for breakfast!
After having so much seafood we decided to take a break and have a nice homemade meal. This place was what my family and i were looking for. Everything we ordered was great, fresh ingredients and the flavors, from the chicken and pasta soup to the turkey dinner and the chicken parmesan. Everything was great. Good portions and everything was super tasty. So far i can say with confidence that this place has the best chicken soup i've ever had in a dinner in the whole state of NJ. Also the service was great. The only issue I had was with the restrooms which need a little bit of attention. But apart from that this place didn't disappointed us the 2 times we went. Highly recommended.
this place is the perfect example of a beach diner. i got the sweet tooth breakfast, and it was one of the best things i have ever eaten. the french toast was freaking amazing, and the service was very good.
Usually stop in here whenever we are in Wildwood. Only there for Labor Day Weekend this time...and we brought our dogs! So, we stopped for Take Out breakfast on the day we left as the dogs were with us. Delicious as usual.. but missed rhe dining experience.
No complaints! Delicious good, fun atmosphere. You like diner food, you'll like this place. Just a little pricey, but their portion sizes make up for it.
