Yesterday was my first ever visit to 'the Shop Salon". I genuinely wish I had discovered this amazing salon before. Everything about this shop is perfect from the atmosphere to the staff & stylists. I felt special as soon as I walked through the front door. 
  I booked my appointment with April to have a cut & style done. Not only was she helpful in helping me decide what I wanted done, she was also very honest and informative of what would work best for the type of cut I was aiming for. No one has ever talked through what they were doing with me and why before. It truly made me feel completely confident in her work. I am extremely proud of my new pixie-cut thanks to April! 💕

I had a last minute call in (on a Saturday of all days) and the receptionist was very polite over the phone and accommodated me. It was my first time at this salon and when I walked in it was not only a very organized, clean salon but with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. April Marie was my hair stylist and I think she will be stuck with me forever from the superb job she did on my color/blow dry/style along with her positive energy and obvious passion she has for her work. I highly recommend April and The Shop Salon!!!

My friends and I went to The Shop Salon to have braided hairstyles done before a concert. We sent photos to one of the stylists to give them a heads up on which styles we were interested in. When we got to the salon, a different stylist than the one we had booked the appointment with approached us and said "Whos first?" All three of us went back to her station and showed photos again of the styles and she said that she did not like the styles (rude!). My first friend settled for basic French braids since she did not feel this stylist knew what she was doing. While braiding, she made comments like "It's not like I braid everyday" and kept making us feel as if we had inconvenienced her when we booked this appointment SPECIFICALLY for braided hairstyles. On the ride home, one of the braids came out completely but we did not feel welcome to go back and complain. Between her negative comments and our pathetic French braids, it was an awful experience that should have been an enjoyable one. Not to mention, the crazy price that we paid for something we could have done ourselves. We called the shop to voice our frustrations and nothing was done.

Sara did an incredible job on my hair last week. I was trying to grow it out and needed to trim the ends. She shaped my hair beautifully and knew just what to do. She is a great listener, a fantastic conversationalist, and an amazing haircutter.
