Wonderful experience. I've been coming to New Buffalo since 1995 and this is the first time I've eaten here. We were told the wait was 30 minutes for a table but it was more like 20 minutes. Food was reasonably priced for the portions given. My wife started with the chili and i had the lemon pepper chicken noodle soup and both were seasoned just right. My wife then had a plain 1/2 pound hamburger that had a delicious char. I had the BLT with guacamole and it was superb. We both drank Cokes with our meal but they offer an extensive beer, wine and liquor selection. Great place for people watching. Definitely deserving of 5 stars. Just wished the souvenir shirts came in sizes 3x and 4x because not everyone is a GQ model or Lady Gaga type.

I was taken there by a business associate and was impressed. Decor is very nice and upscale, staff was very friendly and helpful.  Jalapeno poppers were great. They were whole peppers not the typical half pepper. That is a better ratio of pepper to filling In my taste.  The Reuben sandwich was possibly the best I've ever had. I needed to save half for lunch the next day since I filled up on poppers.

Love, love, love this place! Incredible food, for one. However, the staff was also great. Any issues were swiftly corrected and they worked around food sensitivities my party had come in with. I would definitely return and recommend

We first went to the Stray Dog a year ago, the night we got married. So, we decided to spend our anniversary dinner there this year. It was amazing. I am gluten-free and the waiter had mentioned that they would flag the allergy. I was also greeted and talked to by the floor manager and explained that the staff had been trained for allergens, including the kitchen. Meaning, they make certain that no food marked as an allergen has cross contamination. I ended up with the amazing Mahi Tacos on corn shells and my husband ordered the full rack of ribs. My fish was cooked to perfection and the explosion of sweet and spicy were wonderful. My only complain is that the shells started to fall apart. My husband mentioned that the ribs had great flavor and were almost falling off the bone. What a great way to spend our evening, especially since we already in the area for a wine and cheese pairing at St. Julian. We will be back!

Worth the wait!  Get the rooftop seating, it’s well worth it!  Expect a long Wait but appetizers and cocktails are great and all the food is very good. Love the gift shop and sweatshirts are super comfortable. Favorite spot when we are in town!
