The service was friendly and there when asked for. Nice selection of clothes and shoes. Prices were fair. The store was clean. Forgot to check the bathrooms. Best parking is in the rear of the building. All in all very nice and worth going to. 9 March 17

This was my first time buying a suit and had no idea where to start. Immediately, the owner put my worries to rest as he outlined the different types of suits, the ideal uses for them, and the suit best for my situation (I was interviewing for a job so getting a well-fitted suit was my main concern). The owner spent a great deal of time with me and did not change his enthusiastic attitude even as I changed my mind a few times about several suits he had chosen out for me. I left with a suit I was happy with since it fit me well and was at a reasonable price. I recently left the ventura county area to move a few hours south; however, I have no doubt in my mind I will be returning for future suit purchases. Great prices, amazing customer service--5 stars.

The Suit Outlet, Oxnard - Much More in Store In search of a tuxedo rental, instead, we purchased my son's Prom attire at the Suit Outlet and I must say I wish I had known about the place the first time I needed a tuxedo. Why rent a tuxedo when you can buy one for less and have the option to trade it in, when need be, for an upgrade, a different size, or for an interview suit? Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner. Located opposite Wal-Mart on Rose Avenue and on the left side of the street, opposite Best Buy, behind Wendy’s, I've passed The Suit Outlet many times without realizing it was there. You wouldn't know it by looking at the store front but the place is a big warehouse or wearhouse, if you wish, which may seem intimidating to some but the rows of suits and tuxedos are clearly marked and organized by style, size, and color. Shirts, ties, cummerbunds, and other accessories are neatly arranged on the wall opposite of the entrance making navigation through the store seamless. The man that runs The Suit Outlet, Mr. Stitch (I kid you not) is friendly and efficient and makes one feel immediately at ease as a person and valued as a customer. I told him that I was so impressed with his service, the store, and the savings that I'd probably write a review. He cheerfully accepted our coupon and asked us to mention the fact that there were a variety of up cycled prom dresses available at deep discounts. Indeed, there were plenty of gorgeous gowns and sizes to select from at bargain prices. We could have gone with a fitted suit and have been done with it but my son has broad shoulders so we opted for a bigger suit and because the Suit Outlet does not do tailoring, we took it to a shop in Santa Paula to have the jacket sleeves and pants altered for a classy, tailored look. About a week later, because the color was off and didn't quite match my son's prom date's dress, we needed to exchange the tie. If I wasn't already sold on the merits of this store, this exchange would have won me over because there wasn't a hassle with paperwork or receipts. The tie we returned to exchange was still in the clear, protective wrapper so we simply handed that one to Mr. Stitch and he helped us eyeball a better match, we made our choice and in less than three minutes, we were done. I highly recommend this store as a better, less expensive, hassle free alternative to traditional tuxedo rental shops and as a place to find high quality, recycled prom dresses and gowns.
