Dr. Rahman is great. After many years going to doctors "BiPolar 2" who only pushed more and more medications. Dr Rahman, found a combination of medications that did not have me feeling over medicated as I was in the past. She is also one that stresses the importance of talk therapy. Myself and wife are seeing Sandra and she has truly helped us learn to live again as a couple since being diagnosed 13 years ago.

I was diagnosed by Dr. Rahman that I have bipolar disorder. I had seen her a few times then stopped going because showed up to an appointment 10 minutes late and doctor did not see me and gave me a no show fee, when we called to say I was going to be late and the people in the office had said that's fine and when I got there they said the doctor left after telling me I can show up late still. So I never went there again until recently my bipolar symptoms got out of hand and I had called her office to make an appointment. I was told I would have to take care of my balance and then they could take my appointment. So I gave them my credit card info and they said they would be in touch but had dodged me and kept telling me the assistant was sick everytime I would follow up. After I got off the phone today they said they cannot see me because my account was in collections. Well I just took care of that the other day but now they are saying even after payment they cannot see me as it's an office policy. They had lied to me, a bipolar patient reaching out for help, just to take my money and LIE to my face. I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone go there, they obviously care about money more than helping someone in need even after they have taken care of the whole past due balance and being promised an appointment. All I'm trying to do is get on the right meds, as just being bipolar is hard enough! This is just plain and simple terrible business ethics.

Not happy with the experience we received through this center. My husband and I went to 7 appointments for marriage counseling with Lisa Bruno. Every appointment we were brought into the room slightly after our scheduled time (the first time this was our fault). When we had first started counseling, neither of us had ever been to counseling before so we didn't know what to expect. It would seem as if she didn't have control of the appointments. Maybe this is normal, but it seemed like she should have been more in control of what was going on. Maybe directing the conversations to a point, or working on solutions or something. Instead we always were getting off subject and not resolving a thing. We left every appointment feeling like nothing was accomplished and unsure what the point of the session was. At the last session, I was very offended by her behavior. My husband and I felt like she was attacking me, and we agreed that we will not be going back there because of her unprofessionalism (we found another place). Granted, I was angry, but she kept "zinging" me when maybe she should have been trying to calm me down....? I'm not sure, but regardless, it seemed wrong on her part. My husband recently started going here for one-on-one sessions (with another councilor), and we feel like maybe things are not so confidential there....? Maybe that explains her harshness towards me. At any rate, I wouldn't recommend (her anyway) to anyone I know.
