I recently ran across a cafe in Fergus Falls, MN that is definitely worth a trek off the highway. It's called The Viking Cafe and they serve the most amazing home cooked food at prices that you wouldn't believe. If you are ever in the area I highly recommend making a stop. Places that serve old fashioned home cooked meals at a reasonable price are becoming a thing of the past and I was very happy to find this gem!

Enjoyed the cozy, small town atmosphere. Wait times are long. Menu is affordable. As an out-of-towner, I am not used to the taste if their tap water. I prefer to drink water, but here, I suggest you order a beverage. Great comfort food choices on menu. Not a place to stop if you are in a hurry.

I take my two baby boys here every Thursday. We love it. Great service, great food, very affordable. We will continue to do this every week until I /we are somehow unable. Thank you for hosting us each Thursday!

Awesome cafe! Family was visiting from Dallas, TX and wanted something local. Had the Viking Russian Burger and it was a 10! The thick cut bacon took it over the top. Finished the night off with a piece of pumpkin pie and my family fought over it. I'll be headed back for breakfast in the morning.

Good food, friendly people and relaxed atmosphere of a 1940's town diner, right down to the wooden bench booths, long lunch counter & stools. Classic and priced right.
