We are a non-profit retail bakery and coffee house, offering a wide variety of baked goods and beverages for all ages. Our goal is to provide exceptional products , excellent customer service and to become a gathering place for the local community.

My wife, Vic-torie and I were house shopping in Oregon this afternoon.  We couldn't help but be drawn immediately to this perfect, small town, corner baker locale.  Amazing ascetic and ambience.  This place welcomes you to an immediate flood of savory and sweet smells.  The Village Bakery boasts an open and modern ceiling with an old cottage like, living room feel with a fireplace (electric but I close my eyes and imagine a pot belly stove in its place).  My wife, never sat down.  Just wandering around, taking pictures.  I will have to come back just so she can enjoy the place.

This place was worth the wait. I've stopped in at all different times throughout the day. The coffee is good and the service is better. The pastries and bagels are delicious. My only caution would be for the cupcakes and cakes. The frosting is dense. Good but dense. You'll find yourself needing another cup of coffee to finish a piece. But the danishes are great and the donuts are tasty. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is the frosting and how it's used in several baked goods. Definitely worth giving this wonderful space a visit. I even love the drive through!

Delicious donuts!! I will definitely be back to try the coffee too. I purchased a cream filled long John and a cookies and cream donut. The icing on the long John was perfect with just the right amount of sweetness.  The cream was a white cream that was fluffier and lighter than most other white creams. Very good!

This is an awesome bakery.  They have the standard bakery items.  But they also have cinnamon rolls that are not like any other cinnamon roll I've had.  It was not light and airy, but a little heavier dough, but with a lot of air space between the layers.  The icing was a great traditional cream cheese, not too creamy.  The Village Bakery in Oregon IL is about 1.5hrs from my house, but I'm sure I'll go back for another cinnamon roll.

First, let me tell you about their service. Every person on the team is friendly and so willing to go above and beyond. They never sigh or roll their eyes. Rather, they offer to go back and forth and tell you everything in the display if you are at the drive thru and then they actually appreciate it if you decide to come in anyways. Amazing. And then there was the food. I am seriously considering driving back from Rockford for the food. There were so many fresh options! The bagel I got was crisp and perfect when toasted; the coffee was fresh, flavorful, hot and delicious; but most of all, the chocolate cappuccino muffin was just over the top. It had the perfect, sugar crusted top and a soft, melt in your mouth bottom. I couldn't believe the flavors. I am so impressed and excited to go back. I also had my eye on a mint ganache brownie
