Christine of French Cakes created a beautiful and delicious cake for a bridal tea I had on Sunday. The cake was easy to cut and was perfect! My guests were happy to learn of a great, professional bakery near Naperville. Christine also gave me some great advice and taught me how to make some other things for the tea.  She wanted my party to be a success and it was! I wish the picture had turned out better!

Worst birthday cake ever! 
My first time leaving a bad comment. I'm originally from France.... When I heard that there's a French pastry shop close to where I live, I was so happy! Last week was my son's birthday, I ordered a small cake for 6-8 people, he wanted a Pokémon birthday cake, and I wanted it made with fondant.... Well I was so upset and disappointed as when I opened the box,  only one hour before the party, the fondant was sliding down the cake from one side. The later it got the more the one side started to fall off. I couldn't do anything about it! The taste of the chocolate cake was awful (charged extra for mocha filling), the deco was so ordinary, and was very pricey for what it was - 108$ cake for that size!!!! I would never mind paying that much money or even more for a well done cake! Sorry last time :(

We ordered five dozen macarons to be ready Saturday evening.  We had a slight emergency and needed them in the morning instead.  They were ready with a smile!  
These macarons are out of this world!  We actually did a taste test with the Trader Joe's brand as a comparison.  Her macarons made Trader Joe's taste like cardboard.  
She truly is a master at her craft!

Ordered a pricey apple pie for Thanksgiving 2016. Well what I got was a french take on an apple pie which is called a French apple Tart.  There was only crust on the sides.  No crust on the bottom or top.  And the crust is the best part of a pie. Well I gave French Cakes the benefit of the doubt and thought to my self the tart may taste like a traditional pie.  Come Thanksgiving, right after the turkey we ate some pie...i mean tarte and no one cared for the taste.  It did not taste like apple pie.  Last time ordering a so called apple pie from French Cakes.
