Went there for a quick birthday bite with a business associate! He raves about the place! It’s a small mom & pop style place! Serious about seafood! It’s small & cozy & caters to about 40-60 people! Overall great seafood place that brands itself clearly on seafood! The wife & husband owners are very friendly

I had the privilege of going to the Chef's 7 course tasting, which included the house cured salmon, lobster bisque, raw oysters, stuffed clams, crusted cod, scallops, and cheese. My wife had the fish (cod) and chips. The lobster bisque, which had small chunks of fresh Maine lobster, was the best I ever had (even better than the world renowned Anthony's Pier 4 in Boston). The Village Raw Bar also has the best cod I ever had. Presentation on all dishes was perfect. The cold smoked house cured salmon was amazing. The only problem I had at the end of the night was picking a favorite dish. While perusing through their menu, I noticed that The Village Raw Bar takes pride in supporting small and local businesses. It is very fitting Rockville Centre, which was settled by a colony of ship captains in the 1800's, has a first tier raw bar and seafood restaurant on North Village Avenue. Welcome to the neighborhood.

Would love to give it a higher rating. The food is good but they can’t seem to get the service figured out. Tried it three times. It’s always slow. The last time our appetizers arrived at the same time as the entrees. The staff reacted with a sheepish “sorry”.

I went here with some friends and I loved it! The food was very fresh and delicious. I had crab stuffed mushrooms, deviled eggs, shrimp and a seafood salad. Everything was seasoned well and delicious. The staff is very friendly and it has a nice feel. A great place to go for date night

Luv!!! So glad this place opened so close to us and hope they stay forever. Have been twice and have visit number three planned. Everything we tried was great. The oysters raw and grilled are great. Baked clams and fried clams great. Grilled fish and scallops everything so delicious. Dave can sure make us happy. We love the thought out into everything and the presentation is amazing. The owners couldn't be friendlier and the staff couldn't be better. Can't wait to try the lobster roll. The whole one was delicious.
