This place is AWESOME! Whether you are an art connoisseur, or whether you need an event designer, photographer, caterer, jeweler this place is like a home away from home. The staff super friendly from the front door to exit door, an overall beautifully adorned gallery with tons of eye candy and lots of talented artists selling their pieces and services. An experience overall! I got an amazing piece of art made by Mark Canepa and it is by far one of the finest art pieces displayed in our home. Best wishes to this huge gallery with a HUGE heart!

What a well coordinated group of talented folks brought together to a community environment where you're sure to find something to appeal to any one of your senses. My personal favorites were the catering by Russell Jacade Events and the metal sculptures by Mark Canepa. Yum and fun!

Art In All Expressions! I don't usually write reviews but this place was definitely work sharing. This past weekend some friends and I attended the Grand Opening of The Village Shops and Galleries. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was a pleasure attending. One of my favorite pieces was this beautiful metal work of the Golden Gate bridge and some of the skyline. It laid flat on the wall and stretched across the entire length with a copper coloring. I was also quite fond of a collection of Japanese themed paintings. They had a jewelery section where i bought some beautiful freshwater pearl earings and a necklace for my sister. They even had live music which was almost like the art having a voice! lol One of the best parts about this gallery is that not only do they have traditional art pieces like paintings, photography, and sculptures but they display expressions of art in many other ways like the beautiful antiques, glass pieces, metal-works, jewelery, and yes, even FOOD!. The catering was amazing! They served us complimentary hors d'œuvres and two different kinds of sangria. The traditional sangria was spot on and i have never had white sangria before so i tried it, and i think it's my new favorite drink now. I think there was passion fruit and orange in it. YUM! It was a nice touch serving hors d'œuvres on modified painting palettes, just genius! I tried all their deserts, i think my favorite was the mini-puff eclair. My other favorite bite i would describe as a take on tuna poki. Small chunks of tuna with sesame seed oil, black sesames, and sea beans (and maybe some other ingredients i couldn't decipher). I never ate sea beans before but they gave this really nice sour flavor that really rounded out all the flavors. (Can you tell i love food??). Overall i really had a great time with my girlfriends. We were fed yummy food, met some genuine folks, and bought some nice pieces to take home. I'm glad they have a website with pictures showing off parts of the gallery. Anyone reading this should definitely go check it out. They're even having a mother's day special this weekend. If you want to do something different with your mom on mothers day you should go the The village Shops & Gallery. It'll be a unique experience AND you can get her something nice there that's classy and something she'll like!
