The Wood Carte sells a lot of Amish made furniture. They have both finished and unfinished furniture for fairly reasonable prices. The Wood Carte 2 next door focuses on outdoor furniture. The staff are helpful and they have a extensive variety of furniture and housewares for sale. Their showroom is well decorated and laid out.

I spent some time taking a look at their furniture and, while the attendants were pleasant, their products are inexpensive and do not appear well made, especially their cupboard doors.

The staff was very helpful and the furniture looked great and was finished just the way we' asked. It's when we got it home that the problems began. The door on the TV stand broke...revealing old plastic clasps that held the panel in. It should have at least been glued - the door was not one piece, but two. There are gouges in the drawers of the end table revealing that the builders used less than the best pieces for the drawer bottoms. Thirdly, although the finish is beautiful, the wood is very soft - a fingernail can put a deep scratch into the table top. Not good for something that is supposed to stand up to everyday usage. We dropped a coaster on the table top that had stuck to a glass due to moisture, and it put a deep gouge into the table top. Pine is too soft to be used for furniture and we'd hoped the protective finishing we'd paid for would add hardness to it, but it obviously did not. Finally, nail holes that had been puttied and finished are now beginning to show depressions in the wood. Overall-the furniture looks good, but I'm afraid it will not be durable. This is disappointing and because of the durability issue we will probably not buy furniture from the Wood Carte again.

I purchased a kitchen table and chairs about 4 years ago. One of my chairs had loosened up so I brought it back to the fine people at the wood carte. They sent my chair out to be repaired or replaced and said it would be back by the end of the week 3 days later I got a call that my chair was ready for pick up they had replaced my chair free of charge !! Great customer service wood Carte will continue to purchase your beautiful products....

My husband and I took a ride to Queensbury on a cold grey day, to visit the Wood Carte Furniture store. What a great place. Nice and helpful staff. The furniture is quality made by the Amish. Most pieces you can have made by your dementions . They will check on that for you.My husband bought me a Oak glider chair and it fit in the SUV. That was a total surprise. I suggest if your up that way , you stop in and see what they have. Great large tables and beautiful wood color stain collection.
