I would like to share my experience today while I was visiting the park near the pavilion. I brought both of my dogs and my husband and we were playing frisbee on the field. We did not see any "no dogs allowed" or "dogs must be on leash" signs on the field. We were rudely interrupted by two of your park rangers. I didn't get their names but they worked on Saturday at approx. 10:15 AM. They yelled, "your dogs need to be on a leash - get them hooked up now!". They didn't come up and ask us if we knew if there were leash laws or give us information about it. All they did was yell and kick us out of the park. I understand now that there are leash laws, and I feel the situation should have been handled more professionally. They are represented by The Woodlands and their rudeness and abruptness was not appreciated and they need to be counseled on how to talk to the public more appropriately.

Building a fence for a client in Harpers Landing. What a nightmare. The restrictions for The Woodlands Township found online state the fence can be 6' tall with a 6" rot board at the bottom of the fence so the completed height can be 6' 6" high. Then built the fence for the client and was told after we built it that it could only be 6' tall in Harpers Landing. Told I could put the rot board on the front of the pickets. The whole reason for a rot board is so when it rots the pickets do not. This idea is not only out of date thinking it is stupid. If I could rate them less than 1 star I would. This is just one of the major reasons why living in The Woodlands in not as great as you would think. BTW. It took getting a permit for putting up this fence. The one that we took down was ROTTING imagine that with no rot board ! The client got a letter from HOA telling her she had to replace the fence and to top it all of it took 9 days to get the permit ! Oh one other thing... There are rotting fences all over the woodlands.
