Mike and Brian started out at the port of indecision. For those of you who don't know where that is, it's about three martinis southeast of disorder. While Mike studied life at sea, Brian studied life in bars.
Neither able to pass their SAT's, their fathers said stay in school- don't be a fool. But they had to see what life was all about. So they came to the town of Southerland, seeking fame and fortune. "We got conch, we've got fish and we've got a catchy name!"
We might say Good day, we might call you Darlin', but most of all we thank you,
The Thirsty Marlin
Thirsty Marlin is a casual laid-back, island-time, salt-on-the-rim, Jimmy Buffett-inspired vibe, the kind of welcoming, affordable place. We have a great location in wonderful downtown Palm Harbor, where we have an amazing opportunity to participate in all of the local art festivals, street festivals and the yearly Margarita festival.. which is so much fun for all of the staff and regulars here! We are indoor-outdoor, family friendly and pet friendly on the patio too. We know how many of our fans complained about the awful outdoor tents covering the back patio so we decided it was long overdue for a change! With the addition of a new Island style barefoot Tiki bar and total overhaul of the outdoor patio complete with Margaritas and limes the Thirsty Marlin IS the ultimate Florida-style hangout you’d recommend to any of your out-of-town visitors, We have a fun tropical motif that's casual with an equally fresh and funky selection of food and drinks—the owners are firm advocates of great steaks and nice pieces of fresh fish. They are also deeply indebted to the deep fryer for inspiration, like the deep fried corn on the cob!
