I had the best car buying experience at Thruway Nissan. Sales, Customer Service and the General Manager went above and beyond to qualify me for the best car option that met my financial situation. To the staff at Thruway...you are doing a great job! Thank you!

So this place is not very organized. I received a letter in the mail, stating my vehicle qualified for an upgrade program. Knowing this was a marketing ad, I called to check the validity of the ad. I spoke to a woman who verified that it was legit. And that I would need to bring my vehicle in for an appraisal. I went to the dealership the next day and waited for for a while before a sales rep told me that there was no way the deal could happen. He didn't bother to even look at the vehicle. And he sent me on my way. I called the woman that I spoke with the day before and she told me that she would speak to a manager and get back to me. I waited for a call and didn't get one. I called her back on Sunday and she told me the same thing. I'll speak to manager and call you back. Dealerships do so much to bring you in. Only to turn you away. Thanks for nothing Thruway Nissan.

I took my Nissan there for alignment after I replaced control arms, inner and outer tie rods with new rubber boot.... they told me there are three open recalls for my vehicle, one of them was on the power steering. When I got my car back I put it back on a lift and I see the brand new rubber boot is torn is pieces, right next to where they did the work on power steering rack... I called them and the "mechanic" who did the recall work said "that was like that"... my question is: if "that was like that" why didn't he say anything about it and advise me that boot needs to be replaced.... crooks

Worst experience. Bought a used car from Thruway Nissan out of state based on their on-line description of "no scratches or dings on this baby" and that the interior was "flawless", which was corroborated by the salesman verbally. It was also under full factory warranty. No less than 15 scratches identified by the transport company when they picked it up at Thruway, with a ding on one of the quarter panels, as well as a tear and scratches on the interior. Fraud. Left several messages for the GM who would not call back. There are many honest dealerships out there - this isn't one of them. Don't even think about buying out of state - there are no state protections if you register a car purchased in NY out of state.

Horrendous! The lift gate on my 2015 Nissan Quest would not open from the outside of the car. I brought it to the Nissan Thruway Serivce department where I was told that it would cost $129 to diagnos and possibly fix the problem. Thinking that this had to be a very simple fix and couldn't possibly cost more than that, I foolishly agreed. I stood outside the door of the work area of the garage to monitor what the mechanic was doing. He hooked up a computer to some wiring inside the liftgate panel and walked away, not to return for at least a half hour. The total amount of actual hands on labor that he performed did not amount to more than 20 minutes. How they could justify charging $130 for so little work had me quite upset, but at least they fixed the problem.... or so I thought. In fact, I was informed that my door needed a new electric switch (surprise, surprise... that is probably what the vast majority of Quests with that problem require since there are no mechanical parts to the lock mechanism. The price of that switch was $270 which would have brought the repair total up to a staggering $440 with tax... OUTRAGEOUS!!! I screamed bloody murder and the manager asked me never to come to his place again. Just now, I looked up the price of a Nissan OEM switch... 29 bucks!! Installation time, a half hour tops! I fully understand that repairs at the dealer cost more than at your neighborhood mechanic, but this is way beyond the pale! If you're an extremely wealthy person who cares not a lick about money, fine, go to THRU WAY... but for the rest of you, STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEN OF VIPERS!!!!
