My family and I have recently relocated to Wildwood. In the process we had to leave all our old haunts behind. What I've come to miss the most however, is our carwash. The BP on Jefferson and 40 had it's faults but, for the most part, they always got you in and out as quickly as possible. On any given day, one single employee would shepherd through hundreds of cars. The line of cars would be backed up to the street and one person would keep the line moving. The monthly subscription did exactly what it was designed to do, It made the process of getting a quick carwash convenient, fast, and hassle free. The workers, most of whom were immigrants from the Middl East were courteous, concerned and worked their ass off. In stark contrast to this model of efficiency is the well lit, over staffed, over frilled, over landscaped monstrosity that is Tidal Wave Luxury Car Wash. From Long road, the location looks less like a gas station and more like a ski lodge at the foot of mountain. I assume someone had to emergently liquidate assets or launder illegal money because there is no logical reason this place exists in it's current form. The waste does not stop there. As I mentioned previously, the BP on Jefferson would crank through hundreds of cars with one employee. Tidal Wave on the other hand, completely grinds to a dysfunctional halt if there are more than three cars in the line. The configuration is atrocious allowing cars to block the gate and block one another while pushy, unhelpful salesmen hop from car to frustrated car trying to pedal one of their monthly subscriptions. I assume their compensation is incentivized based on how many subscriptions they sell because, their attention to service and sense of urgency is non-existent. I have had four vehicles on the monthly subscription here and every time I get the car washed, the key fob does not work, the machine is down, etc.. and I am stuck waiting for one of the jocular bros to put down the sandwich they copped from the deli's expiration selection, long enough to walk slowly out to our car and do their magic. For the life of me, I cannot understand how a place with what appears to be an endless operating budget, could mess up something as simple as a carwash. On no fewer than 10 occasions this place has completely let me down. Yes, 10! Today's experience was the final blow. Admittedly, freezing cold temperatures are not the most ideal for working outside. Especially with water and and frozen metal. I ran my car through the car wash and purchased the MOST expensive interior package they sell. To my surprise, the car was done in less than 5 minutes. Having been disappointed so, so, many times by these dudes, I walked to my car and looked with amused skepticisim at the shoddy job they did. I asked for the rag from one of the employees so I could wipe off the the constellation of spots and smears that were missed. Frustrated beyond all telling, mostly at myself for allowing these privileged frat boys to touch my car, I kept my mouth shut, handed them a good tip, and got in my car. I tried to start the car and it was apparent that the battery was dead. I accept that this car was not driven and it was just as much my fault as anyones however, I got out to ask for a jump and there wasn't a single employee in sight. I walked around and finally located an employee who told me to wait a minute and that he'd be back. He returned with another employee who proceeded to do his best to absolve the carwash of any responsibility for the dead battery and told me in no uncertain terms that I was essentially SOL. Having had so many less than satisfactory experiences with these guy's, I finally lost it. I told the young man that he needs to give me a jump or find someone who would. Keep in mind it's 12 DEGREES and these guys have all abandoned me on their parking lot to seek refuge in their shed. NOT ONCE did this kid say, "hey sorry about this", "can I help?'' nothing. As long as I live, I will never under any circumstances stop here!

Totally impressed! I went through the other day, this place is amazing! Love that you can choose to ride through or get out and let them do the interior as well. My car was spotless and staff was super courteous, I will definitely be back soon!

Love this car wash - they have the friendliest staff that goes above and beyond and my car is always 10 times cleaner than when we go to other interior car washes.

This is the best car wash in St.Louis hands down. This place BLOWS waterway out of the water. I wish this place would've been up and running earlier!!! It's like a personalized car wash. You get to pick exactly what you want and your never there for long. I love to grab a slice of Shakespeare's pizza or a sandwhich from the bakery. Extremely curtious staff and even better service. Will be coming back a million more times!
