Been with Tom's agency for years, never had a problem with them.

Unfortunately this agency really caused us a lot of problems. They had requested information about a 3rd party driver which we sent them. However they then sent us a cancellation notice of our policy. We immediately called and re-gave them the same information and were told we were reinstated and it was all taken care of. 

Two months later - we had an accident with a vehicle and came to find out they never reinstated the policy! They refused to pay a claim on the insurance.  We are still in a dispute with them over this incident and filed a claim with the Michigan Insurance Bureau. 

They have sloppy bookkeeping and don't keep their clients informed. I would recommend you find someone else to provide your insurance.

Beware!  Meemic failed on customer service.   I was a twenty-two (yes, 22!!) year client and an educator.  When I changed residences and wanted to continue my insurance with the Tom Wilson Agency, I was told that I had to give specific information about the person I was living with who already had his own car insurance. The lack of concern and thoughtful service led me to talk with Tom Wilson himself.  He only reiterated the company policy and offered NO PERSONAL CONCERN TO ANY QUESTIONS I ASKED!  I am so very disappointed with Meemic and the Tom Wilson Agency.  They  sent me a certified letter saying that my policy would be canceled.  Never did I hear, you are a long valued customer and we would like to help you.  It was always, do this and the policy (with increased rates) will go forward.  This agency, and Meemic, offers NO adantage to educators. Do not deal with them!!!  I have subsequently gone elsewhere for better rates and helpful service.
