These guys come across as very shady and the owners kind of are. 

Simba (real name? cmon), the self professed customer service agent/booking agent sounds like very disingenuous person. They advertise pretty much exclusively on kijiji (yikes). Their voice mail was always full. They never answered the phone, but would text you back instead (like a drug deal). The VM message has just a guy in a foreign accent yelling 'movers, movers'. hmmm. They offered a flat rate 2 guys and a truck - $200 the first 2 hours. $50 an hour there after, plus tax. No hidden fees. The website is a sham - with contact info that is not utilized...no one replied to my email nor phone requests - just the kijiji #...

I booked my move a week in advance and also got a Uhual for the next day in case things went south. Read the horror stories; there is alot of useless thieves out there.

I phoned Simba 4 days before the move to ensure I would be the first 'pick up' and this was not  a scam. He said it wasn't. Stated there were no stair fees, or additional surprises.

Much to my surprise on the day of my move 2 young men in a Budget truck arrived and completed the entire move in three hours. Now, please note I was very organized for the move and had everything ready prior. The move was only 5km away to a storage unit. But the guys were fast, friendly, efficient and conscientious of what they were moving.

The move went very easy from the beginning as I had ensured parking right in front of the house. I also promised a generous tip and offered coffee & water. I also assisted as I am able bodied and its my stuff - but the heavy lifting has left to the big guys.

The contract I was asked to sign prior DID have some language about stairs (grrrr) and travel time; but as I challenged this - both the movers leveled with me that they would not enforce this...I was not asked for cash upfront.

Mostly, I think I was lucky to end up with 2 young guys who understood their job - moving, packing a truck and being friendly to make the client comfortable. I think if I was their 3rd move that day or if I got the B team, things would have been very different.
